How old is your child and what type of carseat do you have them in?
I feel like when I pick up my one DC at school I am the ONLY Mom who is still buckling their kid into a carseat with a 5pt harness. Some have high back boosters, some, just boosters and others just let their kids get right on in with nothing. Yet, there I am with my DC in a carseat with a 5pt harness. DC is still within the limits of the seat with the 5pt. If you moved them from the 5pt, how old and what size were they?

DS will be 6 next month and we have him in a 5 point harness...it eventually converts to a booster seat.

5 and 7 and both in Graco lap belt booster seats.
Both moved over at 4ish. My original 4 pt harness seat was only safe up to 40lbs with 5 pt harness and both were over 40lbs by age 4 and very close to the height maximum as well.

8-year old in backless booster. Just the seat since he isn't quite 4'9" yet. almost!
6 year old still in her Graco high back booster (seat belt only).

DD is 5 , she is around 45 lbs , around 40 in tall and she is in a convertible car seat, 5harness.
Now that we also have a newborn we've been talking about switching DD to a high back booster seat we purchased few months ago.

DS is 5 and uses a backless booster in one car and a high back booster in the other. Both are Graco brand and use the seat belt only.

DS is five and in a Britax Parkway SGL. So it has latch up to 100 lbs and my car can support it to 100 lbs. DD is 3 and in a Britax Boulevard.
ETA: We moved DS last year, because his seated height was 16 inches and that was to tall for his boulevard. The only other 5 point harness he would have fit into was the Britax frontier, but he would not fit into it as a 5 point harness because the crotch strap was to far back. We tried it in the store and adjusted the belts. He did not fit into the Greco Argos for the same reason. The Parkway with latch at BBB has a crotch strap and a seat belt. It is a HBB.

DS 5, is in a high back booster w/ seat belt only in my car and my DHs car, when he rides with the ILs he is in a backless booster.
DD 3 is in a graco nautilus 5pt harness booster in my car a high back booster (belt only in DHs car) and a britax marathon 5 pt harness in ILs car.

Mine are 6 & 7 years old and the only ones I've seen at their school still in 5 pt harness. None of the moms have commented to me, and I'm shocked my kids haven't complained about it. My brother is a PO and has responded to some gnarly accidents, he made a big deal out of them staying in a 5 pt harness for as long as possible.
They are both in the Britax Frontier 85, so they can stay in the 5 pt harness until they are 85 lbs - but I know they're not going to go along with that for that long.

My 5 yr old is still in a 5 pt harness. Its the Graco Nautilus. He does go in a high back booster with just a seatbelt if he is another car, but that is once in a blue moon.
I was thinking that I should let him just use the seatbelt with the nautilus in my car, but he has not said ANYTHING about not liking the harness, so I will not say anything to him. Its safer.

DD is 6.5 and still in a 5-pt harness in both cars. Britax Marathon in mine and I think the Graco My Ride 65 in DH's. I had switched her to a high back booster in DH's car, but I didn't like how she was still able to move freely and fidgit so much in it, so I put her back into the full carseat. Sometimes she complains a bit, mostly it is that she can't sit in the third row with her cousin. I just ignore her...

My 85 lb,4 foot 8 inch 8 year old has been out of a booster for a year. My five year old in a booster (high back in on car, no back in the other.)

DD is 6 and in a backless booster. Has been for like 6 months. High back before that. I would have kept her longer if I had a better fitting 5 pt harness seat. I am not sure she will ever meet the requirements though, I was 5'2" and 97lbs when I graduated high school!

DD is about to turn 5, weighs 40lbs and is 43 inches tall. I have her in a Recaro car seat with a 5 point harness. SIL takes her to the park every once in a while in a high back booster seat.

4 in a Graco Nautilus with 5 point, 6.5 in Graco Nautilus with seatbelt-she's is too tall for the 5 point. I kept her in it a long time though

5&7 - both in backless graco booster seat.
#1 was in highback until 6 #2 until 5 when it was easier to be able to switch them around in the car.
I have tall kids if that makes a difference. I think #1 will be close to the 4'9" by his 8th bday.

My 5 year old (almost 6) is 54lbs, he's in the Graco high back booster.
My almost 3 year old is 33lbs. She has a my ride 65, a roundabout 50, and the Graco Nautalis. (sp)
