How old was DC when you first left them overnight with someone
Dh planned a date night for this Sat
Drinks, dinner & movies
Seamus will be staying over at my MIL. We already had plans to go there Sunday for lunch and Christmas cooking baking, so we can just pick him up then
It will be nice to go out and not have to worry about waking up early to feed him, etc but I dont know if I want to leave him! I 100% trust my MIL but its so hard....
He has his own room at my MIL. His own crib, toys, etc. We will probably just bring his jumperoo with us because its his new favorite thing

DS was 4 1/2 mos and he stayed at my MIL's house so DH and I could go out for our anniversary.

DS was 5 weeks when we had a wedding that DH was in. It was a long day/night for both of us, so my mom took him for the day while I ran around getting ready, going to the church etc. I got ready for the reception at her house and then off I went to the wedding and he slept by her. He did beautifully, my mom was great and DH & I slept like logs for the first time in a long time!
Every since then, my mom takes him every 2-3 weeks for a sleep over - he LOVES to go there.

At almost 3 months, I let my mother take my DD to SIL's house overnight. DD had colic so I really needed a night of uninterrupted rest. It was hard at first but I knew she was in great hands with both my mom and SIL, who said that they would tag-team.
It sounds like it will be a nice night out for you and DH. Go and enjoy yourselves!!!

I think DS was 9 months old when he first slept at my parents. He's slept there a few times since then (he will be there this upcoming Sat. too!)

i forgot how old DD was, maybe 2ish...DS is 16 months and we still havent left him. I would really like to get a practice night in before i have this baby so DS knows we will come back.

My daughters are 2 and 1 years old and I haven't yet. I left my oldest DD with my DH 1 night when she was 14 months old but that was only because I had her baby sister

We left her overnight with my Mom at about 6 weeks...it was our 1st anniversary.
We left her for TWO nights (a wedding in PA that I was MOH) when she was about 9 weeks.

DS was 5 months old. We left them with my MIL for 3 nights and he was a terror!!!!!
But MIL did not complain one bit and DH and I finally got some sleep and alone time!

7 months old- we went to Vegas for two night. It made me feel better that we were away but still only an hour flight if there were emergency and constant flights back to LA all day.

Im pretty sure she was between 3 and 4 months old when she stayed at my MIL's house. My MIL also came over to our house to watch DD if we went out to dinner or a movie.

DS was 10.5 months when we left him for 5 days to go to a wedding in St Kitts.
Other than that he has never stayed overnight anywhere else....

sorry to barge in, i am mainly a lurker on this board, since i am ttc but my sister left me neice when she was 5 weeks old, and she had her 1st sleep over and my house and as of today we continue to do monthly sleep overs to give my sister a little break

My IL's never offered and I can't say I would have taken them up on it.
My mom is in FL and she took her overnight while I stayed @ my sisters when I went down.
