at about 6 months and then again at 10 months- but she was with my parents and i actually didnt worry at all - she loves being there and has her own room and everything - and it was SOOOOO NICE sleeping in the next morning... take advantage of the extra zzzzzs

5 months. He stayed at my mom's for 2 nights when we went away. It was nice for my parents to get him full time and VERY nice for DH and I to connect without the baby.

I was readmitted into the hospital after giving birth and he stayed with my parents for two days.

Joey was 5 weeks. My parents loved having him, and they know take him on Saturday night a month so DH and I can have a date night!

Kaydyn just slept over my ILs house two weeks ago. It was the first time she slept over anywhere. She is 10 months.

My oldest was 4 and my youngest was 2  It was our first night ever away from them, we went to Mohegan Sun for the weekend. They stayed in our house and our parents stayed at our house.

We never have and DS is a year old.
There really isn't anyone we can leave him with overnight who lives nearby. I'm hoping to do this with my sister at some point, but she's about 2 hours from us, so when DS is older. My ILs are the closest, but they can't watch him for a variety of reasons.
I say do it if you trust your MIL as you said you do. It's easiest when they are little really, they won't even know you are gone. Enjoy yourselves!

DD was 2.5 mths - DH and I had went away overnight for our anniversary - DD stayed with my mom and dad.

The first time I left my DS overnight was this past October when I had my DD. He was 12 months. My mom watched him at my house.

My mom stayed here with Sarah when I was having Andy.
Sarah slept over my mom's house this summer, she was about 3.5 yo.
We still haven't spent a night away from Andy, he'll be 2.5 yo later this month.

20 months old. We left him with my parents. Even before then, I could not have...he nursed forever and it would have been mean of me to leave him with someone since he did not sleep through the night till 20 months old.

My DD is 3 and has never slept away from home without us. We have slept away from her twice for one night while my mom stayed at our house with her but that was only when she was 2 and this past summer. I don't know if I'll be able to leave DS any sooner....probably not.

DD was about 5 weeks old when she first stood at my Mom's house without me there....but only because I had the flu. She slept over last week without me or DH for the second time and she is 12 months. I was a wreck...she on the other hand had a blast
