I caught DS eating a crayon twice last night...

He did it once and it was a pink crayon and I caught him putting it in his mouth. By the time I got to him he already had a few crumbly pieces in his mouth. I managed to clean it. But the second time was horrible. It was a purple crayon and the kid was literally chewing it and it was all over his teeth. I cleaned it with a toothbrush but he had some pieces stuck on his teeth. It was not easy but I cleaned his teeth. But my concern is he may have swallowed some of the crayon pieces. Do you think it will hurt him? He's been acting fine.

That's it no more crayons for him unless he is completely supervised when using them...Chat Icon

I don't remember. It was a mix. Some were crayola and some were not. I don't remember which ones were in his mouth...

All kids eat crayons....no worries, thats exactly why they make them non-toxic. Unless they were like dollar store crayons or something they must have been non-toxic.

Some of them were dollar store crayons and some were crayola. This happened at my mom's next door. That's where we were.

Funny you mentioned poop cuz he did poop this morning and I did not see any purple.

But you are right what goes in must come out and I'm glad he pooped this morning.

If I had a nickel everytime I changed a crayon diaper. The first time I was freasked out, but then I found out crayons are non-toxic. Make sure you buy Crayola....that is a trustworthy company.
