I know this has been asked before- Please recommend your digital camera ...
Hi everyone !....My poor camera is getting old and tired (3 years LOL) and I am in the market for a new one...My pet peeve about my current camera, is no matter what we do, we always seem to wind up with red-eye and if we put the reduction on, the delay is terrible...Any recommendations ???...Thanks

What are your priorities?
Size? Huge, like an SLR?, super tiny, or somewhere in the middle?
Price range, if any
Speed between pressing the button, and taking the photo
Bundled software
Zoom
Megapixels
Brand loyalty
Battery type. I personally prefer the ones that take AA so it is easier to get replacement batteries, and I can use common chargers.

I have an 8 MP Olympus Stylus point and shoot that I really like.
I also have a Nikon D40X that I like but is taking some getting used to since there are so many options.

Oh geez, I forgot to mention that I am technically challenged ...As for the battery thing- yes I prefer AA as well...Not opposed to the larger size cameras (small is easier but I'm open)...Speed is important, because my DS has lighntening in his shoes, price range Im open also (under $600 I guess), some zoom, at least 7.5 megapixels (thats what my current one has), and I have no idea, what bundled software is...Thank you so much- I didnt realize how much there is to a camera, when we bought mine, it was my 1st digi. so I was clueless !...
