My close friend had a 1:5 on her screening for Down's and her child was born 100% healthy. Please try not to worry, as hard as it is.

The nurse we saw last night called me saying she was checking up on me because she knows that I was quite upset last night (upset isn't the word for it). Anyway she said she had called over there as well, and the doctor still had to look at the paperwork.
I called (since I had left a message at 8:30 with no call back at 3:45) and the woman actually picked up but told me that "They had it on urgent, she is on top of it, the doctor hadn't looked at the paperwork yet, and they will call me, don't call them."
Seriously, I am not even being rude on these calls, I am trying to be the sweetest person so I get somewhere. Ugh, i've had it. These people just have no compassion.
argh!!! i am so mad for you. i am still praying as hard as i can!!!!!

Sweetie, I know I can say it a thousand times but I know better that it won't do much, BUT... please try to remember for the baby's sake that there is a 90% chance that this child is growing healthy and happy inside. I know you are terrified and there is nothing I can say or do to change that. Only answers will make you breathe a little easier and unfortunately you have to wait for those.
I think you are amazingly strong for opting to not go for the invasive procedures and are still doing what you feel is the safest option for you, the baby and DH. Lean on us for however long you need to get through this.
Just continue to rub your belly and repeat that everything is fine. That beautiful baby inside wants to feel Mommy happy
