Dediko, I am so, SO sorry that you have loved ones in danger. Could your family just get out of the country, anywhere, in the meantime? Even if they can't come straight here right away?
When my in-laws left the Ukraine with my husband, they lived in Italy a year before coming here. I don't know why they did it that way, perhaps it was easier for immigration purposes? That was over 20 years ago though.
What a horrible situation.  Please keep us informed. My thoughts are with you and your family.

MY parents had to do this as well, My grandparents and my dad were leaving the Ukraine and my mom went with them. I think they were going to get married once they came to the US, but they were in Italy a couple of months so they got married there. This was about 30 years ago, I think its different now though.

Can they fly to the US? Are the flights suspended to the US? Are they allowed to 90 days without a visa? I am not sure how it works with Georgia.

I remember you posting in the past that you are from Georgia, and I thought of you immediately when I heard about this last night.
It was disturbing to see Putin watching the opening ceremonies at the Olympics while all of this is going on.

I don't know how it works, I haven't been able to contact anyone bc it's weekend. I have to call few places on Monday and find out what we can do. My guess is that I would have to get a lawyer in order to get get my family out asap. I am going to also contact USCRI and see if they can help .
