Good luck Donna!! I quit 5 years ago. The first week is the hardest, but after that is gets much better!!!!
The hardest part for me was the hand to mouth thing...so I took to eating

Congratulations!
My best advise...it does get easier and just when you think you can't take it...that is when it finally starts getting easier.
Also, if you slip up, don't dwell on it...move on and continue with your work of not smoking.
Remember, you didn't become a smoker overnight so don't expect to be a non smoker overnight either.

It is a really hard thing to do, but you can!!!!!!
I quit last september after smoking for forever, a couple of times I fell off the wagon but the following day I didn't smoke.
Just an FYI- it took a good 6 months for my congestion to go away, I thought I would feel fantastic immediatly, it took a while.
Get some lollipops or flavoed toothpicks for when you are craving.
Congrats- its a major acheivement!

BTW I was a BIG complainer when I quit. DH said he'd rather I get PMS than to every have to go through the quitting smoking crankiness.....

Ohhh, I complained. A LOT!
So much so DH even suggested that I just go back to smoking if that's how I was going to be.  That didn't help my mood nor improve his afternoon that day

Good for you! I know it's hard. I quite three weeks ago and it's just now getting a little easier. How are you doing with it? Make sure you drink a TON of water, it helps flush all the crap out. Good luck and let me know if you need any support
