If they are using the office computer, the IT dept should be able to see who is visiting which websites for how long. Also, if it's this important to the company that employees not go on FB, they could restrict the sight so no one can access it through their computers.
Very true but I don't understand why they even make you sign something when it is not really enforced.
Because they want the option to enforce it...

my company just came out with a social media policy this past month.... basically all you can say is that you work at X company, everything else is basically a no....
But for a while now we've had a separate policy that you can not be on the internet for personal stuff. If your posting on facebook from a personal cell phone it says mobile when you post I thought? Its kinda scary, our IT definately can trace what your doing and one employee actually went on Skype and was slowing down the connection in the office.
