Florida, but only Northern Florida, b/c I can't take the heat.
Florida, to me, is a lot like NY with palm trees. Many NYers there. It's one of the few states I can travel to in the US without getting homesick.

florida, but i can't take the humidity in the summer. i would love to be a snowbird. florida from november to may and new york the rest of the year.

Hmmm...DH and I would love to live in the mountains somewhere. Somewhere with a great change of seasons. Maybe Maine or the pacific northwest.

DH and I would love to go to New Mexico...thought it was beautiful and we would fit right in, but it would never happen because we would be way too far from family.
Our back-up is North Carolina....still gets cold, we have family there and we would be right in the middle to family up north and down south.

Other than the tri-state area I would say Florida.
My parents have a place in Ft. Lauderdale and boy could we get a beautiful house down there. The weather ain't bad either!
