If you have 2 kids under 2 and had a C section....

My friend had her first baby and the doctor told her to wait 18 months before TTC #2
She was thinking she was going to try earlier but then when the dr said that she is thinking uh oh

....I know it is to heal and all.....but I know there has to be people have done it early and had a C on their 1st....

So the question is have you TTC before 18 months of having DC#1? Did you have complications? DId your Dr. tell you you weren't supposed to?

I had a c/s with my first. My OB wanted at least 18 months between births, not waiting to get PG again. I got pregnant again when DC was 15 months old, so my 2 were exactly 2 years apart. Not that it makes a difference in your question, but I was able to have a v-birth for my 2nd as well.

My girls are 23 months apart (so pretty close to 2 years). I know my 1st OB and my 2nd OB (I had a high risk OB with my 1st pregnancy) told me that I should wait about 2 years before delivering #2. He said I could try for #2 around 15-18 months - and that should be fine.

The longer time you have between pregnancies honestly the better b.c it gives your body time to heal.

LOL, I guess it REALLY depends on the doctor because at my 6 week appt after my first my doctor asked me when we were going to start trying for a 2nd! . Mine ended up being 23 months apart but I was never told to wait any amount of time after the first.

I had a csection and my dotor didn't mention anything about waitng to try for # 2.

My OB recommended waiting 18 months between births, not waiting to TTC for 18 months. She said this is ideal for healing after the first c/s especially.

I listened and my kids are 18.5 months apart, lol...and I had c/s with both. No issues, and my second recovery was even better than the first.

I got pregnant when my twins were 9 months old....my 2nd c/s went fine. The OB said I had no scar tissue besides the scar itself and that I will be fine down the road with another.

my husbands cousin found out 8 weeks after she delivered her son via c section she was 4 weeks pregnant again.

(she did ivf to concieve her son - no clue how she managed to 4 weeks after a c section )

Her son and daughter are almost 10 months apart

eta: my neices are 15 months apart - also c section babies

My friend just had a c section the other day and her DDs are 14 months apart.

My dr told me one year between sections gives your body the best chance to heal.

I had a c-section and conceived DS when DD was 15 months. After giving birth to DS I was told to wait a year, and that would have been my 3rd c-section.

My dc are 20 months apart. I was never told after my first csection to wait a period of time before having another baby. I think that was a mistake on my doctors part, because during csection #2 they found my uterus to be extremly thin. It was a very risky csection. My doc told me "i took years off her life". I was also told if i ever wanted a third baby it would be high risk for me and the baby.

One of my friends had twins and then another 17 months later. She then had a suprise pregnancy when #3 was 5 months old. This will be her 3rd c-section in about 2.5 years. She hasn't said anything about being high risk or her doctors being concerned.

I am pretty sure my Dr told me a year between c-sections. My girls are almost 2 years apart, I got pregnant when my 1st was 15 months old.

I was never told to wait. My DD and DS are 18 months apart. Both were c/s. I was fine.

I think the worst part was when I started to get bigger. Every time I would sneeze...OMG. Pain!!!

I had 2 that were 13 months apart and didn't have a C....but....i've had soooo many issues and problems that even with my youngest now being 6 months i still have problems becaue i didn't let my body rest in between.

My boys are 10.5 months apart & both sections...I had no complications at all with either section or the healing. My OB did not tell me anything about waiting (even though #2 was a BIG surprise to us)

My OB told me to wait 1 year. We got pregnant by surprise a month before my son's 1st birthday. I had no problems because of that and had a repeat c-section.
