I tried and was told that if I did not want to pay full price I could cancel my service. A little rude but where I live we do not have Fios and I am not a fan of the internet options for Direct TV and Dish network so I still have Cablevision and my bill is now $154/month

Re: If you have the triple play for Cablevision Question for ya!
Last year our triple was up and we tried to reneg the price and was told it was either that price or get less options. We said we would take our business with Fios. They couldn't careless since we were in Brookhaven town and they know we can't get Fios. The only advantage we had was that we were moving to Islip town and Fios was ready in our apartment complex. When we said we were moving and where suddenly they got on the same page with us. Long story short we got the bill reneg for the same triple play price and she cut the installation fee.
Since its been a year our triple play just went up last month. From 140 to 170 We are considering Fios but we worry about how big that first bill will be. So for now we are sucking it up.

Re: If you have the triple play for Cablevision Question for ya!
I was paying $150 for the triple play (add box) and I called and told them I wanted to drop the phone line since I never use it. They dropped my bill $20 and told me I can keep the phone line for 1 year.

I dropped and switched. I was scheduled to pay almost 180 and Fios offered MORE for 125. Then Cablevision won me back after a few months with an offer of 109 and more than Fios gave me.

Re: If you have the triple play for Cablevision Question for ya!
I had this issue a few months ago and I called to tell them they had to do something of I would switch to Fios, they basically said here's the number to cancel. I started the process to switch to Fios, got it set with them to import my number which they have to organize with Cablevision so they clearly knew I was switching. Then Fios got here and couldn't install without running wires all over my house and I didn't want that. They also would have had to charge me a $300 installation fee b/c all the work they would have had to do. I ended up not going with them. I called Cablevision and was like, listen, I have Fios coming to install but I really want to stay with you guys so you have to be able to do something. At first the same thing, we cant do anything. I told the person on the phone that I demanded to speak w/a manager b/c I know they could do something. I told them I know how it works, they wait for you to cancel and then try to win you back by offering you the triple play again at an even lower rate (heard that from ppl on here). I said, wouldn't you rather keep me and give me the triple pay than try to win me back at an even lower rate. After a long time going back and forth they finally took $30 off my bill. I wasn't thrilled but it was still better than the $150 they wanted considering I wouldn't be able to get fios.
My advice, let them know you are onto their game and demand they give you a lower rate, ask to speak to a manager. Do whatever you have to if you really want to stick w/the service. You will be able to get them down. Good luck!
