Honestly if someone offered to pay for me to have a private room this time I would so take it and LOVE them forever for it!!!! I had TWO horrible roommate experiences in a row at NSUH. I almost had my doctor discharge me after day 2 (and I had a c/s), but DH wouldn't let me go home in that condition. If I won lotto, forget the new house or car... I'd get a private room!!! It's on my mind EVERY day of this pregnancy. Don't let your DH make you feel guilty, this is the best thing you can do other than deliver at another hospital.
Edited to add: would your parents be willing to adopt me?

not even a question! I don't know how you guys deal with sharing a room- it grosses me out! Thank God our hospital only does private rooms.

yeah i would do it. i got a private room since i thought i deserved it and i told dh its equal to me staying at a hotel. i nursed and wanted my privacy. best thing i ever did.
