Re: Is it worth it to buy a glider/rocker?
I didnt want one, thought it was a waste. Got it as a gift, DS is 3yo and I still sit in it and read to him EVERY night and EVERY day at nap time!
thing has paid for itself on nights DS had a cold or teething etc!
Totally worth it if you have the room!

I used mine all the time when she was a newborn, now we use it every night to read a book in before bed. It's so comfortable!

Re: Is it worth it to buy a glider/rocker?
Oh WOW! YES! We bought one and absolutely love it. We use it all the time... it's part of our bedtime routine to rock and read after the bath.
ETA: DS is almost a year. We had it in DS's room, but now have it in the living room (it goes with our decor).

Re: Is it worth it to buy a glider/rocker?
I didn't think it was necessary originally and didn't get one. 2 months in, I regretted not getting one and got it.
Definitely get one if you have the room.

IMO it's a must...use it every day/night to feed DD her bottle....she is now 6.5 mos and we still use it.

Re: Is it worth it to buy a glider/rocker?
we have one and I sit in it every night to read dd a story and give her her bottle before bed. I love having it. I don't think its necessary to buy a top of the line super expensive one though. Mine is from target online, and was pretty cheap and is perfect. DD just turned one and it still looks like new.

Re: Is it worth it to buy a glider/rocker?
I love our glider! I rock DS to sleep in it every night, but that's also where I read him all of his books.
ETA: If I had a bigger house I would have another one in the living room. DH was SOOOO mad when I moved it to DS's room, he loves that chair!

ABSOLUTELY! I think it's more important than a bassinet in a nursery!
