Re: J&J vaccine
Off topic but you know what's funny about JML accusing me of inciting fear? She is the one that had 20 co workers who had covid and then all of them got it a second time and many were hospitalized and she had X number of family members that died from covid and a bunch others that were hospitalized. I know no one that knew so many people personally that were hospitalized than her and got covid multiple times etc. So you want to talk about inciting fear? THAT is inciting fear. Telling people about your own personal experience with a vaccine is not trying to incite fear, it's simply telling your own experience.

There is no reason for anyone here to incite fear. She got the shot- she had that reaction. Saying she is reporting it to incite fear is kind of insulting to her- akin to calling her a liar or a pot stirrer. Honest opinions and experiences are always welcome. Even if they don't fit the "everyone MUST get vaccinated narrative." I'm happy to hear BOTH sides- people who had no reactions and were fine and those who weren't and have fears or regrets now. It's ok.
There’s a difference between someone who got the vaccine sharing their story and a known anti vaxxer posting about a vaccine she did not and will never receive. The only reason someone completely unaffected by this vaccine would post something of this nature would be to incite fear and spread anti-vax propaganda.

I feel the exact same way. I may have to get one for work and rather get the J&J. Don’t care how effective it is. My SIL, got the fizer one, then got extreme bleeding during her period and it on medication now and may need surgery, so I think I’ll stay away from that one.
I got my "period" two weeks early and I was practically hemorrhaging and it wasn't typical period blood. It was gunshot wound blood. This was after I got J&J. I also got a very bad bloody nose and I wasn't able to get out of bed for two days. Just an FYI.
Thank you for sharing. With all these side effects I keep hearing, I’m scared to get any shot. Hope everything is better for you now.
I understand you being apprehensive. As I said I got the J & J shot. I wanted J & J specifically and my doctors recommended it. Though it doesn't fit the narrative of some people on this board, I am decades under 65 and had no reactions....no period problems, it's been 6 months and the same as always, no effects right after - no headache, no chills, no fever, no sore arm. I carried on with my day afterwards and walked a few miles. I urge you to speak to your doctors; I found most people on this board like to incite fear.
Yes that's what I'm doing. You are such an a** hole. I had a horrible experience that was dismissed by you as me starting menopause even though you know absolutely nothing about me.
I totally agree with this. She is a fool. It’s scientific fact that the J&J vaccine does have many potential risks as do the other vaccines. It’s been studied, documented and publicized (although not nearly as much as covid dangers). Glad she got lucky. Ignorance is bliss. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Re: J&J vaccine
You must understand... it's only ok to incite fear if it has to do with Covid. Death and dying of Covid. Death and destruction from Covid. Children dying in droves. Hospitals at capacity!!
Any discussion of an odd side effect or a vaccine injury is not allowed. You cannot incite fear over that.
If you had a strange, heavy period as a side effect of having had Covid everyone would praise you and say, you see! Look at the dangers of Covid. Look what it did to you!
But because you had that from the vaccine, you are nuts! A fear inciter, a crazy middle aged, menopausal woman!
Learn the rules. Not just on this board, but in the world at large lately!

Who's the known anti vaxxer? Lululu got the vaccine and reported her experience. It says right in this thread that she got the vaccine and then had that issue

Her yes. But I was referring to the side effects lululu discussed having in regards to her period and nose bleeds etc. I took her at face value because she had the J&J vaccine and had that experience.

You weren’t the OP. The OP has no story to tell. She did not receive and will not receive the vaccine. You did. That’s where the difference lies and why the purpose of the original post was to incite fear with absolutely no firsthand knowledge behind it.

Thank you. I got vaccinated. I am pro vaccine. But I am also honest about my experience.
People who protest so much and cant have an open discussion with the other side, only proves how insecure they are about their decision.
I know many people who got the vaccine, some had side effects other did not. I believe both sides but that's because I am not an A-hole and actually understand science.

Yes! I know many people who got the vaccines without a blip. My parents didn't even have sore arms or any kind of malaise the next day. Nothing. And I know others who have had awful side effects- up to death from blood clots. And I believe them all. And all of their stories are valid. If you believe in SCIENCE you should know that any medication, treatment or vaccine WILL have side effects in some people. It's not fear mongering... it's fact

Exactly. Also, the side effects related to period disruptions are fairly common not only with this vaccine but many others throughout the years. It's nothing new.

Exactly and the same with every illness and vaccine. You seem to not be allowed on this board to have any experience anymore and we are ONLY allowed to listen to the doctors, whom are all new to this also.

J&J vaccine
My boyfriend got J&J and he had fever/chills that night, but it went away after 12 hours. I was told not to get it b/c chemo gave me a blood clot in my lungs and there were rare cases of blood clots with J&J.
I got Pfizer for all 3 shots (got the booster last week b/c of my previous chemo treatment) and I didn't feel anything after except a sore arm - no fever, chills, etc.
I'll be glad when another dose is approved for those that got J&J since it's effectiveness isn't as high as the others. Maybe J&J isn't as widely used now b/c of the lower effectiveness - not b/c of side effects.

JLM has been reacting any time I post something about my experience as if it's some type of anti vax propaganda which is completely ridiculous considering I GOT VACCINATED. I had other adverse reactions besides what I posted here but even still I encouraged my husband to get vaccinated. It's just silly, she has too much time on her hands.

What was bizarre about it? And where is the “antivax propaganda” u’re talking about? The fact that many places don’t have the J&J vaccine and are not looking to restocked? That’s a fact and a quick search on the internet can tell u that. Stop believing every little thing is “antivax propaganda”, maybe u can learn a thing or two.

Re: J&J vaccine
J&J has not stopped producing their vaccine and places like CVS, Walgreens, etc have not stated the reasons why they’re not carrying the Janssen vaccine. But like others have mentioned, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was because the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have been advertised more. I also think it’s because of the higher side effect reports of this vaccine compared to the mRNA vaccines. I don’t think it’s because of effectivity because if I don’t bad remember there wasn’t a substantial difference...Janssen in the high 80’s and Pfizer and Moderna in the low 90’s? Or something like that. I’d assume people would prefer the Janssen vaccine more because it’s more practical...one shot and u’re done, although there are talks about making a booster since their effectivity might start decreasing after 8 months or so, at least that’s what they’re saying. I also thought it’d be more popular since it pretty much follows the same production procedures as a traditional vaccine, something that doesn’t happen with the mRNA vaccines. But it seems that at the end people prefer the mRNA vaccines more, at least here in the US.

It's ok.
It's not fear mongering... it's fact
I agree. Hopefully others on this forum will not come and tell u all those thousands of stories happening to real people (some from this same forum like lululu) are anecdotal and therefore irrelevant.

Re: J&J vaccine

If I am forced against my will (likely) to get injected then I would want J&J because it is an actual typical vaccine and not an experimental therapy. I don’t care if it is not effective because I do not want it at all anyway.
I was forced to vaccinate or get fired, i chose J & J. I had no side effects excpt a sore arm. I agree that i didnt even care if it worked... I did not want the mRNA
However, studies show it to be almost as effective as the other 2, however the media has vilified J&J from the start, you know, because its missing the microchip
