Jon & Kate Gosselin to Make an Announcement on Monday’s Show
“Jon and Kate Gosselin have an announcement.”
Those are the words that appear on the screen in a new TLC promo for a one-hour Jon & Kate Plus Eight special episode, airing Monday (9 p.m. ET).
In the spot, Kate Gosselin says, “Recently, we’ve made some life-changing decisions — decisions that will affect every member of our family, ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace.”
The stirring spot, which also flashes phrases like “A family in turmoil” and “A relationship at a crossroads,” first aired Wednesday night on TLC.
In the season 5 premiere of Jon & Kate, which was watched by a record 9.8 million viewers, the Gosselins came together to throw a fifth birthday party for their sextuplets, but admitted that marital problems had made their future together uncertain.
“I wish I knew,” Kate said when asked by producers where they stand as a couple. But they both agreed to be there for their kids. “We will always love our kids,” Jon said on the premiere. “We will come together for our kids.” – Aaron Parsley

Im getting really disgusted with Jon and Kate and TLC. Obviously they want you to think they are announcing a divorce.
This is a real family and a real marriage and if they are promoting the announcement of a divore to get viewers, its despicable.

Maybe they will announce that they are cancelling their show. I hope so. I feel so bad for those poor children. Jon & Kate need to work on their marraige and do waht they need to do out of the public eye.

I agree. I'm a huge fan of the show but I hope they're cancelling it for the sake of their family. A yearly episode would be a great idea IMO.
Their marriage and their family is more important than the show....lets just hope its not too late

I'm going with they are announcing their divorce. They have done nothing to stop the rumors, and in fact the way they talk they have me convinced they are past the point of "working it out". They're over. They made this decion WAY before this new season started, and they didn't say anything for fear of a ratings drop.

I think they are going announce that they are getting divorced and than Jon will no longer be part of the show. It is obvious he wants out and she wants to continue. She likes the money too much!

I think they are going to announce that they are divorcing. I would have to imagine they have an iron-clad contract with TLC and no way is TLC going to voluntarily lose their cash cow.

its either they are getting divorceing or getting rid of the show.. i for 1 can not stand her shes very nasty to john and the children.i just feel for the children and the harm it will cause them..

I really hope it is to announce they are done with the show. Of course, for the sake of their children and their family but, also, if they are calling this "press conference" to announce they are divorcing or separating then I will truly lose all respect for the both of them - the only thing that comes to mind is SPEIDI - this is something so low only they would do.
