So, I guess that's it...divorce
I was channel surfing last night and the TV Guide Channel had a special on Jon & Kate. They said they are seperating/divorcing and TLC is setting Jon up in an Apartment. They are obligated for the 40 shows so they will work around their split.
ETA: They are paid $ 75,000 per episode!

I hope the sextuplets never see that footage! That is great for a kid's self esteem.
I feel bad for neither Kate nor John at this point I only for bad for the kids!

shame on them for putting this on TV and filming it for their kids to have forever. divorce is so hard for kids (young and old) and I think what they are doing to their kids is disgusting. they knew this was coming. they didn't have to sign a contract for another season. they did this and i feel no remorse for them.

I am REALLY disappointed in TLC for doing this. I know their main goal is to make money - but they are displaying these people like they are a freak show - exploiting a DIVORCE with children involved? It is awful!
As for the divorce itself - I think Jon will be happier once he is away from Kate and Kate obviously can't stand him so it seems for the best!

IDK what's worse...TLC for promoting this epsiode as the "special announcement" or Jon and Kate for agreeing to it.
I hope they have at least told the kids first.
It's sad all around.

maybe they will announce they are done with the show
IMO this is the only chance they have at saving their marriage. However, I don't think there is a chance in hell Kate will give it up.

IMO, J&K are worse.
TLC is out to make money, that's their only purpose. They're a business.
J&K shouldn't be - they shouldn't be a business, they should be a family. But it seems that they are by agreeing for this season to be taped and having this air out, they are acting as a business.

And I'm sorry but Jon is such a azz...does he need an apt in NYC...what happened the state of Pennsylvania doesn't have available real estate so you move to the biggest city in the US where all the action is hours away from your children????????????he's disgusting

I would like to think that if they are announcing a divorce that their kids know about it before it becomes public. To me Jon has come across as the biggest azz in all of this. And if he is getting a small apartment in NYC that just shows it even more. I have felt for a long time with him that he wants his single life back. Kate is no walk in the park but he really isn't that great. He always seemed so distant and so short with his answers with the kids.
I really hope that they are announcing that they are canceling the show until they work out their marriage problems.
