Laundry Detergent Question - Help a Soon To Be Mom Out
Just wondering what laundry detergent you girls use to wash the baby's clothes aside from Dreft. The Dreft is SO expensive and I remember reading somewhere that you can use any detergent that was free of dyes and perfumes. Any suggestions?? Thanks!!!!

Re: Laundry Detergent Question - Help a Soon To Be Mom Out
I used the 2 bottles of Dreft that I got from at my shower. After that I stopped and now use All Free and Clear. No problems with it at all, and I actually think it cleans the clothes better than Dreft

Purex Baby (hard to find) and Pathmark Baby (when its on sale). Baby Purex was cheaper than store brand. I will use free and clear as well.

any free and clear detergents - so far, it doesn't matter which one I've used as long as there aren't any perfumes or dyes

Re: Laundry Detergent Question - Help a Soon To Be Mom Out
We use 7th Generation Baby. When that runs out we will just use the regular no fragrance 7th Generation that we use for the rest of our clothes.

Re: Laundry Detergent Question - Help a Soon To Be Mom Out
Dreft isn't high efficency so we couldn't use it- didn't see the point anyhow. We use Tide free and clear. AND don't use any softener on their clothes like Downy or dryer sheets- it removes the protective fireproofing.

Kirkland(Costco) Free & Clear
Ditto.
The other thing to remember, is to use whatever detergent you are using on baby's clothes on your clothes since you will be holding baby up against yourself.
