Laundry question

Can I just wash everything in cold water?

I'm tired of sorting, having different piles......cold/warm....

I would still wash sock/undies and sheets/towels separate, but can I just throw EVERYTHING else in a cold wash?

Just me and DH. No kids cloths to wash.

That's basically what I do unless something is exceptionally dirty and we have kids. I typically wash sheets separately but only becuase things get wrapped up in them and then don't dry completely in the dryer. I don't know why you'd separate socks, undies, towels and sheets otherwise though. I also put most things in the dryer unless they're very shrink prone or delicate. It all comes out fine.

Re: Laundry question

I wash everything together unless it's new and will bleed.
Everything in dryer unless it's known to shrink.

Only wash sheets separate.

I have no time for 2-3 loads of wash at a time if it can be done in one.

I was all our clothes together in cold water and all go in drier. Towels and sheets get washed seperate, sheets in hot water. I really don't think anything shrinks.. I feel like clothes and materials are different now than they used to be so colors don't run and clothes don't shrink.

Re: Laundry question

I do clothes in cold water. I just separate whites from darks. I only put socks and PJs in the dryer. Everything else gets hung. I put a special disinfectant for the final rinse because I'm not using hot water.

Towels and sheets I do separate from clothing because of fuzz and I do really hot water for those.

We do the same thing and its just the two of us. I don't have time to be bothered separating and doing multiple loads

I wash all my clothes in cold together. I separate out my towels and sheets. I will prewash if exceptionally dirty.

Laundry question

I wash everything together using cold water. I think sorting is a waste of time unless something will bleed or you need to do a load of bleach for some reason.

SO you do light and dark together right?

Unless I know something is new and will really bleed this seems like a good option.

I do this also and I wash everything in hot water. Only new clothing that will bleed is done separately along with cleaning rags and bedding as well. Day to day clothing is all just dumped in and washed. I do pull out my LLR clothing and bras when I transfer to the dryer and hang those up.

I only wash in cold. But I have 2 kids and a dh so I do 4 loads a week. Pink, darks, whites, sheets and towels. But if I randomly have a full load I take out the whites and wash all together.

I wash in cold too, but they say you should never mix sheets/towels with clothing due to dirt etc, but I have esp if the wash is too small to run without.

Laundry question

I separate everything. Darks is one load, whites are another load. DS clothes is the third, and his I just throw in all together - I don't bother to separate his. I only do 3 loads of laundry/week.

Then I do sheets, towels and delicates separately once every few weeks. For me though, I have so many sheets/towel sets, I can do those once a month and not run out.

Laundry question

I do sheets and towels together. Sometimes throw socks in if I don't mind finding them in sheets.
If I don't have alot of whites, I'll throw them in with the colors on cold.

I have a hamper with two compartments so colors and whites are separated. Makes it so much easier to just pull them out and put them into the laundry basket to bring down.
