When someone (DH) stops the microwave before the time is up, but doesn't hit clear...I don't know why but that drives me crazy when I go to use the microwave and it says 27 seconds or some random number!

Also, having toys/sets with missing pieces. Drives me insane! I lose sleep over missing toys...and my DD is only 3. (And I'm not anal about anything else, so this is weird for me!)

This is so not related to anything but I've always loved your avatar pic. It almost makes me want to get a dog. So freaking cute!

Aw thanks. Love that pic of them too!

People who add an R to words (idea = idear)

People who drop Rs from words (water = wata, father = fatha)

People who use MYSELF incorrectly (DH and myself...)

People who use I incorrectly (they invited Jennifer and I to the party)

People who write SHOULD OF, WOULD OF, or COULD OF. It's SHOULD HAVE, WOULD HAVE, or COULD HAVE. The contractions are should've , would've, could've. I've seen teachers make this mistake and I am flabbergasted.

People who use ADVISE when they mean ADVICE.

When someone says, "I seen."

OMG that is me, word for word.
I am so laid back, disorganized, but I am getting heartburn over all these toy sets she has with missing pieces. It drives me bonkers.
And trying to get a 3 year old to keep toys in order and not lost, forget it!
And it seems every toy she gets has 400032349 pieces!

But the WORST is pitcha (instead of picture). "Oh that's a great pitcha of you!" Um, no, it's not a vessel for water or ICED tea. It's a photograph!

Drives me insane!!!

People being late! I hate it. I always give myself plenty of time to get anywhere which always leaves me being way too early so I expect most people to be there on time. And I hate the kid excuse. I have a child too and I am still always early. Plan your time better! It's really a hot button issue for me.Chat Icon

Re: Let's talk pet peeves

The WORST in my opinion (its been mentioned already) but when someone is texting or on their phone when you're out with them.

A former friend could never leave her phone down or away for a minute. It was obnoxious.

And what is even worse is when you're talking about something serious and they are smiling at a text as they say "uh huh" to you. ugh. I would never ever do that to someone.

Re: Let's talk pet peeves

1. Use of the word "retard".

2. People who drive as slow or slower than the car to the right of them, making passing impossible.

3. People who act impulsively, without thinking things through, in a professional environment.

There are more, I'm sure, but these are the first things that come to mind.

Let's talk pet peeves

Slow drivers in the left and HOV lanes.

I know it's irrational but I hate when people drive the speed limit in the HOV lane when there's no traffic in the regular lanes. Stick to the right lane!!!

Misuse of to/too/two or their/there/they're.

Anything spelling/grammar related that everyone mentioned above.

People that make exceptions for themselves. Like it's okay if THEY do something, but if you do it, they judge you for it or you're wrong.

The one I vent the most about to my DH is:

When parents (mainly moms in workout gear) regularly park in the fire zone or in locations that aren't meant for parking, but are closer to the school so they can run their one child in while the rest of us (many with multiple children and/or infants) use the parking lot. Chat Icon

I hate this one. I complain about my daycare all the time. They even put in a drop off lane but people still use the fire zone.
