I also notice it's a trend with certain people I follow too (usually drama seekers) but the cryptic posts like I HATE MY LIFE AND WANT TO DIE and then they never come back and respond.
It was mentioned up thread too but also over-sharers.
I want to crawl under a rock FOR them with some of the things certain people share......
THIS! I can't stand this and the people who air out their dirty laundry on FB. My ILs are notorious for this and it drives me nuts. That and the posts about someone who pissed them off so their entire friend list can guess if it's them. Just tell the damn person.

I don't even entertain a response to that kind of garbage. I see that vague crap all the time. "Going to the ER"....never to update again. If you are sharing on social media, either explain yourself, or don't even bother posting at all.

Yes or "checking in" into a hospital with no further explanation. I think it's cute when you're having a baby, but otherwise it's so douchey.

I had to find this thread just now because I just realized I'm irrationally seized with hatred for anyone using the hashtag #nomnom to describe their stupid, f'ing meal.
Other than that, I'm not much of a peeve person now ask me what skeeves me out and I'll be all over that one
Omg I cannot stand that nomnom bulllshit. I mean do you actually say nom nom when eating in real life? If so I feel bad for you. If not please don't say it on social media!
Haha this is one of mine. There is a website NomNomPaleo which I dont go to just because of the name!

The grammar police. I am not writing a thesis, you know what I mean
People who just stop in the middle of the sidewalk!!
This doesn't affect me but I hate when someone is ordering say at a deli or paying for groceries and they are on the phone and The worker tries to ask them a question and they can't hear
Super parents who do everything better than you and have kids who at 14 months run marathons, cure cancer and speak French
People who have Facebook and use it to complain about all they see in on Facebook. Quizzes etc
Don't have Facebook then!
I didn't think I had a lot of pet peeves but ALL of these I agree with. Especially the grammar police, get a life
I have one

Exactly .Huge pet peeve of mine. All I know is when I was in the ER in excruciating pain the LAST thing I was thinking of was checking in on Facebook. If you are that sick, you aren't posting on FB. Such a cry for attention IMO

What about checking into a funeral???!!
A friend of mine posted that it was time to say goodbye to his grandmother and made a big deal about it. She didn't die!! He posted "false alarm".
Then two months later she actually did pass away and he posted again and then checked into her funeral!
Is nothing private anymore?

People throwing garbage/cigarettes out the window or people who just toss their cigarettes/butts on the ground. It enrages me.
I asked my DH what my pet peeves would be to get his perspective and he said "peeing outside." LOL Apparently I get pissy (pun intended) when he does it. Which truthfully isn't all that often because I do get b*tchy about it.

People who weave in and out of traffic like others' lives don't matter.
People who ask rude questions like "Are you pregnant," or "Is she adopted or your real child?"
The phrase "Me Likey"
Hipsters-and anyone else who tries too hard.
Self righteous people who are always looking for a fight or a grievance
People who "help" by saying very obvious or unhelpful things/cliches like "Well that's something you should have thought of already," or "each relationship is different, and you can't change people." (Double pet peeve if they're extra patronizing when they say it.)
People who repeat clichés they've heard about current events or politics with such conviction, but don't really understand what they're saying, or barely & if you ask them two questions, they are clueless. But they feel SO strongly about the issue--based off of the sentence/phrase they memorized.

Re: Let's talk pet peeves
Slurpers. My co-worker eats all day long and it usually always involves cereal or soup. But she slurps and smacks her lips on everything.
People who race ahead of you while walking and then stop or slow down, causing you to bump into them. People who block the top of the subway stairs to text or talk on the phone. People who walk slow or don’t pay attention to where they are walking because they are looking at their freaking phone. Eating anything smelly or noisy on the train. People who stand up your butt on line-hello it doesn’t make the line move any faster. Tailgaters and people who drive like maniacs, please if you have no regard for human life just kill yourself, don’t put my family at risk. People who litter. Line cutters, like when you get off the train and there is a long line of people to go up or down the stairs and people walk to the front of the line and cut in. Really? Do you think we are all just standing in line because we feel like it?

I think it would be really funny if we all asked our dh's what they think our pet peeves are. I already know dh would give me a list, most of them relating to stuff he does

Also, having toys/sets with missing pieces. Drives me insane! I lose sleep over missing toys...and my DD is only 3. (And I'm not anal about anything else, so this is weird for me!)
Ita! And somewhat related, when someone (usually my mom, or sister, or sil) tries to "help" by putting the toys away, and everything just gets dumped together into one bin. Noooo! I end up emptying it all out and putting all the various cars/blocks/puzzle pieces, etc. in their proper places.
^^^My DH does his when he "cleans."
Most of mine have already been said.
-Grammar (Should "of", Would "of", your/you're, I seen, etc.)
- People who type in text speak on social media/emails (where r u gonna go 2day?)
-Constant complaints, rants, whines on FB (I have blocked several people because of this)
-Open cabinets/closets
- People who stop in the middle of a walkway/hallway (like at the mall or on a NYC street) to take something out of their purse/bag
-Motorcyclists who weave through traffic
- People whose bodily functions are unnecessarily loud (burping, coughing, sneezing)
That's all....for now.
ETA more:
- Overuse of #hashtags.
- People who smoke in their cars at red lights. The smoke drifts back and into my car.
- Smokers who stand right outside the entrance/exit to stores or restaurants. I don't want to be forced to walk through your toxic fog.
- The shortened words (cray, adorbs, totes)
- People with no concept of personal space
- When people say "I just can't." You can't what?!?! That really grinds my gears...
- People who clap at the end of movies. Silly.
