Milk Protein Allergy Moms- Starting Solids
When did you/are you starting solids. My DD is just 4 months and I want to talk to the ped next week about when we should start solids. I know some doctors say 4 months and some say 6 months. But I read somewhere that the early you start the greater chance of childhood allergies, so I didn't know if since she had the milk protein allergy if it was better to wait until 6 months.
Just curious to see what others did.

I started cereal only (rice & oatmeal) at about 5.5 months, and then started with fruits/veggies 1 month later.

I started at 4 months with cereal and fruit and 4.5 months.
Just be sure to read the labels for milk ingredients. I use Beechnut oatmeal - but you have to be careful b/c some beechnut products contain milk.

DD was BF. I started solids about a week after she reached 6 months of age.
She is now almost two and eats everything (including peanut butter). Occasionally if she eats too many strawberries, or too many tomatoes she gets a diaper rash, but other than that - no reactions to food.
