Mirena? HELP!
I don't know what to do.
I got the Mirena about 3 months ago. At first everything was fine. The insertion was fine, and I only had a tiny bit of spotting. Still no period because i'm EBF,
Now, I am cranky, and EXHAUSTED all the time. I am not talking, tired like I need a nap. I literally can't get out of bed and can't get through some days. DH feels so bad. He told me to get to the dr immediately and get this thing removed, because all these symptoms only appeared shortly after the Mirena.
I went to the dr today and she kinda made me feel stupid. She told me there is no way that this is causing my symptoms. She said she's been around 20 years and there is just no way the Mirena is the culprit so she gave me a ton of blood work, thinking maybe my thyroid is off, lymes disease?, epsteins bar, or my iron.
So I left with it still in. DH is furious.
IDK. I google Mirena and exhaustion and it seems like a TON of people relate to it.
Can anyone help me with their experiences?

Re: Mirena? HELP!
Exhaustion can be a sign of so many different things. If you like Mirena otherwise, I would give it another week or two, let her run the tests and see where it goes. It may not be the Mirena (and you will find anything on the internet about any number of things, I don't out too much stock into 'googling'). If in another week or two, if there are no answers/solutions and you still feel it is Mirena have her take it out.

Re: Mirena? HELP!
I also got it almost 3 months ago, and just said to my husband today that I was thinking about getting it out for the same reasons, along with the fact that I also feel 4 months pregnant I'm so bloated in my midsection.

Re: Mirena? HELP!
I had it for almost 2 years before getting it removed. After a while I started noticing that about a week before I was supposed to get my period I would get moody and cranky, very tired and nauseaus...kind of like pregnancy symptoms. This happened every single month. Finally, I told DH that I wanted to have it removed to see if it really was that (plus we were thinking of TTCing again) When I went to my doctor he asked why I was getting it removed and I explained why. He didn't say I was crazy and that it was impossible to have these symptoms BUT he did say he has never had a patient complain about what I was complaining about.
I don't know if my symptoms were caused by the Mirena because I got pregnant about a month after having it removed so I still had the symptoms but due to pregnancy.
