Mom's of 2 or more - when one kid is sick

When one kid is sick and the other is fine, how do you keep the sick one from playing and running around after the other.

Jack has the croup and a fever so I'm trying to get him to rest but he just copies everything Ava does and I think the world would end if she stopped and relaxed for more than 15 seconds.

Any advice?

I tried bribing them with a new movie but apparently it wasn't cool enough

Not sure this helps, while most of the time when one has been sick it's been a matter of days before the other gets it. However, recently my 10m old was sick with high fevers but my younger one didn't get it. The fevers were said to be viral and I tend to wonder... the other one (2 year old) had high fever this time last year... can't help but wonder if she had the same virus last year and was now immune... she never got sick from the baby despite... chewing on her teether! I tried like crazy to keep them from sharing sippy cups, teether's etc... but it fell on deaf ears.

Separate them? Pffffft......

They are so up eachother's butt's that I'm amazed that their bodies haven't fused.

Ava won't get it - she NEVER gets anything from him so its not the germs I'm worried about. I need him to relax and with her around and instigating I'm constantly yelling to stop and sit on the couch.

I can hear him wheezing from downstairs. This round of croup scared me and I anticipate a really bad night tonight even though he has already had a round of steroids.

haha when you find out let me know - my ped at one time told me when one is sick and the other isn't - ready for this - keep them 5 feet apart or better yet on different floors or rooms...hahaha - if you can figure out how to do that let me know.
