moms of 2 or more that are at different "stages", a playdate question???
do you feel liike you and/or your child misses out at times, like almost as if one gets to have fun at the others sacirifice???
I love my girls with all my heart, its just hard sometimes to balance playing with them both and their friends..if that makes any sense....(li.e.: like if dd#1 is at a playdate with friends her age, I entertain dd#2 and miss out on chatting with other moms, playing with dd#1 and her friends in the same way, whereas when I am with dd#2 and her friends, I feel like dd#1 can get left out sometimes....)
maybe I am just too sensitive, I just need to finid a balance or stop obsessing...

I try to let the one who is being left out play by themselves a bit. I've been pleasantly surprised, where the other kids will include them in the playing.

I have a 9 year old and a 2 year old. It can be hard but the 2 year old is very go with the flow and my 9 year old is old enough to understand that sometimes we need to things for the little one, and she is usually pretty happy to take part. I do alot with the little one when the older on is in school. I have NO guilt.

I feel guilty because for DS who is almost 3 we did so many classes and I feel like DD is a little short changed. I plan on signing all of us up for the family gymboree class for the summer. What I try to do is take DD to things just for her with her peers while DS is in preschool. With that said, I did not really start to take DS to as many classes until he was almost 1 and have taken DD to some of those same classes. I guess I miss having one on one time with each child. I just want to have both kids look back on their childhood and say that I treated them fairly and with love.

Well you KNOW I'm in the same boat as you have witnessed it first hand. Noah takes all my attention. Like that day at the park, I felt like I could barely speak to anyone b/c I was chasing after him....and most of the group had babies and were kinda able to chat/sit still

No, right now it's all about Jack (turning 3 in June) and Tyler (6.5 months just comes with us) I'm not sure how it will work when they are older but I'll figure out ways to get them both involved I hope.

I know, me too...I feel like I lose out on chatting with the other momies b/c otherwise I feel like I am ignoring Sammie, or when its Sammie's "friends", vice versa for Kristina...am I bad that I sometimes wish I could do the chatting too??

we three should find one more mom with an older girl and then have special play dates...lol....everyone will be occupied, plus Sammie and her new friend can play girly stuff and also play with the boys!!
