DD was diagnosed with a severe milk protein allergy at about 6 weeks. She was on Elecare up until last month. Ped wanted us to try and wean her..so we had great success with Nutramagin. We tried Gerber Goodstart gentle...puked up everything! She was happy and fine, just projectile vomitting. So, we figured she's not ready for that.
She's eating cereal..I had started with Earth's Best Oatmeal..just because I have 2 big health food stores near me and that one looked good, I knew the brand..etc.
last night I tried Gerber oatmeal..she made faces, gagged, shuddred a few times and threw up. I tried a few spoonfulls and it kept happening..I read the ingredients..it has soy.
She was crying in her sleep last night a few times..and I'd soothe her and give her her pacifier and she's go back down..she's been STTN for quite a while, so I'm guessing her tummy was upset.
She's 5 months. When did you transition to regular formula? Did you go straight to milk? Anyone not outgrow it? What did you do about baby foods? I plan on making most of my own, but now I feel like I should make it all so I know exactly what she's eating. I feel like so much stuff has soy in it, I'm going to be reading ALL labels and freaking out. Ugh..this is hard, I'm so nervous to give her anything! We're seeing the Ped on Sat, so obviously I'll talk to him, but just wanted some BTDT advice...
