Moms that work and BF whose DC doesn't sleep through the night
Is your DC sleeping in your room? I am having so much trouble with the sleeping at night. She was in her own room in her crib, but when she started waking at 3 months more often I brought her back in the bassinet because it was too tiring for me to keep gettin up and going into her room and getting up for work. With her in our room it was better for feeding wise to have her in the bassinet, and I feel like I woke up less and got more sleep. DC is now 7 months and still not sleeping well. I have been weaning her off of night feedings and some nights it is only one time that I feed her. She is still waking up and not even to eat. It is for her binky or she just wants to be held. The doctor said that it is becuase she doesn't see me a lot during the day so she wakes to be with me and for me to hold her and comfort. DH and I both work and we are losing so much sleep. I don' know how I am still functioning and I drive a lot in the morning and afternoon and can't be tired like I am. I don't have the hear to let her CIO. I have tried Ferber but she gets to sleep but then still wakes up. I don' tknow what else to do. She is EBF. Any suggestions would help. TIA!

Re: Moms that work and BF whose DC doesn't sleep through the night
My DD started sleeping better when I fed her a bottle after BF her right before bed. Could you give her some pumped milk then to make sure she is full?
If you think she is waking for comfort I would first wait 20 min. before going in her room. We had DD in her room, even when I went back to work and I was still BF. I found that she ended up many times putting herself back to sleep after around 15 min. or so and I was always rushing in. Def. try that. If she is still up I would give her the paci and put your hand on her chest or back and stay for a few min. then leave. Our DD would cry when we left but usually went back down.
All these things helped her sleep through the night. And it all started around 7 months!!! GL!
