Moms who use Grandparents for Daycare...
How much do you pay them?
My MIL and Mom will be watchign the baby splitting the time b/t them. They haven't asked for any pay though.

We pay my mom $50 a day. Its usually from 830-330

We were very lucky...my Mom was watching Aly from 8:30-5 every day and wouldnt accept any $$ from us...
she passed away suddenl in April and I am a SAHM now...

$10 an hour on a PT basis. She comes to our house 2 times a week from 1-5pm. I know if she didn't need the money she would never take it. DH and I set the price, she didn't ask for a specific amount.

My ILs and my mom watched DD while I worked and I never paid them. Honestly, I never offered and they would never have accepted anyway. My cousin also watched DD on Fridays and I did give her $6/hr.

My MIL will watch DD every afternoon when DH leaves for work. She would NEVER accept money from us. Since she comes to our home to watch DD, we pay for her cab ride to and from home everyday.

My mom will be watching DS and DD for us when I go back to work next month. My mom had been watching DS M-F for about 6 hours each day. Forget about my mom accepting a penny for it, I am lucky if she will LET me buy diapers and formula! She buys all the supplies she needs for the kids and is more than generous. She is a lifesaver because we could never afford to put 2 kids in daycare.

We are SO fortunate. My mom will not take any money. Each month I am putting 50 aside for her and in June will give her the money I saved so that she can get herself something.

I agree, this IS a great idea, since my MIL won't take $ either (she watches her 3 days/week full-time).

My ILs watches Jayden 3 days a week. They have never asked for it but I'm pretty sure that they would not accept money. We try to do things for them like pick up dinner from a restaurant on our way home.

My mom watches my DD, she also is a daycare and wouldnt accept money from me, she watches her 4 days.
My MIL dosent but if I did ask, I know she would do the same.

My mom was going to watch DS before she passed away last year and we going to be give her $150 a week. MIL watches DS now and we do not give her anything.

my mom watches ella 4 days a week, for 3 weeks at a time, we don't give her any $. Her bday is coming up, i'll probably get her something big or throw her a party.

I don't pay her anything, it actually never crossed my mind. I know she wouldn't accept it. She even pays my cousin to watch him for a few hours on her days. We will buy her tickets to Florida this winter.

Nothing! and they wont let me buy diapers, formula or food either. they have everything too - high chair, PNP, everything they need and didnt ask for a dime.
They were insulted when we offered.
