Moms with a boy - Diaper question
Do you prefer Huggies over Pampers? A couple of friends with boys have suggested Huggies. I used Pampers with my DD and loved them so I assumed I'd go with Pampers again.

Re: Moms with a boy - Diaper question
We used Pampers for the most part
i had a bunch of huggies that a friend had given us that we used and had no problem with. We've just stuck with Pampers out of habit (and because we liked the line that turns blue when he's peed)

Me too! I was so disappointed when they stopped using that on the larger sizes!

Pampers & Huggies leaked for us. Someone gave us a package of LUVS and we've been using those.

Re: Moms with a boy - Diaper question
my 1st- we could only use pampers. Huggies he'd leak through.
my 2nd- we can use anything on him, although we stick to pampers.

Re: Moms with a boy - Diaper question
My DS peed right through Huggies. As in, they felt wet from the outside so I stopped using them ages ago. Pampers all the way.

Re: Moms with a boy - Diaper question
I've used Pampers, Huggies, Luvs and now Target brand. I've had no problems with any of them. We use Huggies overnights.

Moms with a boy - Diaper question
We mainly use the Target brand but I have also used Pampers, Huggies and Luvs and havent had issues - as long as they weren't too small.

Re: Moms with a boy - Diaper question
All the brands i've tried have leaked at some point but Pampers is consistently pretty solid for me. Also the Babies R Us brand, while feeling "cheap", actually is pretty good too.

Moms with a boy - Diaper question
We used Pampers through size 2.
We switched to Huggies because they have elastic in the back to contain the poop explosions.

pampers through size 3 or so then switched to target brand for day time (up and up brand) and using pampers overnights at night (haven't found anything else that works for him overnight)!

Re: Moms with a boy - Diaper question
with my first son the only brand he didn't leak out of was Luvs. With DS#2 I have used all brands and they all work fine. We cloth diaper but use disposables when we travel. We normally buy store brands and never had a problem.

Re: Moms with a boy - Diaper question
i've heard pampers are better for boys, and we were given a box of size 1 pamps so that's what we started with and stuck with. we received a ton of size 2 huggies from diaper cakes so in the middle of the 2 stage, we found them and started using them. i did not like them and was relieved when they were gone and we went back to pampers. the huggies were too firm and honestly, i could never tell if he was wet or if it was just the firmness of the diaper. totally feel like an idiot admitting that, but i just couldn't get used to them. the pampers are softer so you can tell when he's wet, and plus there's an idiot-proof line for mommies like me!
