More Jury Duty Questions
So, I got called for tomorrow. I need to report to the Riverhead Supreme Court building.
I see you are allowed to bring your laptop with you. But I also see that cellphones and those with cameras are not allowed. I also see that no outside food is allowed.
So my guess is that the phone needs to stay in the car and that keeping it in my bag but turned off is not acceptable.
I am also guessing that if I wanted to bring in a couple of pre-packaged snack bars it's unacceptable as well.
I think I broke the law last time because I had snack bars and my cellphone with me. I don't know how I pulled that one off . . . .
If I do bring my laptop, is the laptop bag actually allowed to come in with me if I get called in or do I have to leave my things outside in the waiting area?
TIA!

Re: More Jury Duty Questions
I wasn't in Supreme Court but had the same cell phone restrictions. I would think you could bring it in for court but it would have to be off in your bag.
I had my laptop, cell phone, water & snacks. No one said anything to me. The only cell phone signal I could get was in the seats by the windows. Coverage may be an issue. I would keep the cell phone with me. It's easier to step outside & use it than to walk back to your car to get it.
It's a shame...my guess is this would have been perfect if you had it the day they released Breaking Dawn.

Good thing I have decided to read the whole series over New Moon will be coming with me in addition to my laptop. I may even get brave and try for water, a couple of snacks and my phone.
