yep, thats me as well... im an anxious person to begin with and this just makes me even more insane There has to be a better system... I dread traveling down a long stretch of road with a green light in the distance... im always hoping it turns red before im anywhere near it LOL

my office building is at the corner of list #72, and i'm terrified of this intersection every single day. i've heard so many crashes from my office. i really hope they do put one there.
(along with stewart and clinton in garden city).

I'm all for the cameras, but I agree that they really do need to make the yellows more uniformed in time.

That being said, for the love of all that is holy people, STOP STOPPING SHORT!!!

A $50 ticket is so not worth hurting yourself or someone else over.

I don't know why this is such a big deal to people.

If you think this is going to cause more accidents, then you are likely driving too fast in the first place. Slow down.

Also most of these cameras are at major intersections and at least myself as a driver, I always keep an eye on the pedestrian crossing sign to predict when the yellow will hit. Most of those signs are now countdown timers that show numbers.

If I am approaching an intersection and the countdown is at 3...2... I slow down.

If the countdown is at 5...4... I will probably increase speed knowing i'll clear the yellow. It isn't that difficult really. Bring on more cameras. The county needs the money.

I think the more annoying ones are the right on red tickets. Lets face it, you are supposed to come to a complete stop to make the right on red... ESPECIALLY at a major intersection with a lot of cars. I now make sure I stop at every intersection now because of the possible ticket.
