Mother's Helper questions and advice?

Okay, so I hired a mother's helper for my mother and MIL for 3 hrs a day on Wed an Thurs. She is 12/13 yrs old, a friend of the family, and will basically be there to play ith G (he will be 3). My MIL and/or Mother will be the primary caretaker and will be taking care of Aa (my 3 month year old) and will always be here when the mother's helper is here.

She is a middle school student. My question is, what do I pay her? I have no clue? Also, do I provide her with 'rules' for G? If yes, like what?

I was talking to her on the phone and seriously felt weird, I ha no idea what to ask her. She was my flower girl at my wedding, I used to babysit her, now she is the babysitter (sorta speak).

ANy suggestions or advice would be so appreciated!

Re: Mother's Helper questions and advice?

I would probably give her $20 / day...not go hourly...$15 seems to little and $30 seems too much

I would probably give $25.

Minimium wage is $7.25, so that is what I am going by.

I agree with the $20/day, and let her eat/snack, whatever at your house.
