NEED CROCK POT RECIPE
I am looking for an apple crisp or better yet an apple and pear crisp recipe for Thanksgiving that can be done in the crock pot. Anyone have any good one's? Also open to other crock pot desserts for the holidays

NEED CROCK POT RECIPE
I don't think an apple crisp would work that well in the crock, I'd imagine the crumble on top would be soft and maybe mushy, instead of toasted and crispy...

Re: NEED CROCK POT RECIPE
Why does it have to be done in a crockpot? Lack of oven space?
If so, I would just make the whole thing ahead of time, including baking. Then, if you want to serve it warm on Thanksgiving, you can reheat in the microwave. I've done this with success -- just make sure you make it in a microwaveable baking dish (no metal).
I host Thanksgiving and do everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, I possibly can ahead of time. Plus, this way, you don't have the crockpot taking up space on the counter. And in my experience, crockpot recipes for dessert only take a short time (2-3 hours or so), so if you try to do it in the crockpot, you may be assembling apple crisp ingredients in the middle of dinner prep.

Re: NEED CROCK POT RECIPE
I saw this recipe on Sandra Lee's Semi Homemade show a few years ago.... She used cherries...which I hate...so I ended up using peaches..
I love it cause I hate baking and this is so 'stupid' easy that even I can do it!
1 (21 oz) can fruit pie filling (flavor of your choosing)
1 (18 1/4 oz) box yellow cake mix
1 (1/2 cup) stick of butter
1 package of instant oatmeal (flavor of your choice)
Put the pie filling in the bottom of the crock pot... add the cake mix on top of that in an even layer... sprinkle with the instant oatmeal... and put tabs of butter all over the top. Put 2 layers of paper towel over the top and then add cover (to prevent the condensation from getting in the mix)... cook on low for 3 - 4 hours.
