We just replaced out fence up last week. We told our neighbors just so they knew the fence would be down all day. None of them offered us money nor did we expect them too. It was our choice to do this.

new fence and neighbor?
Each of my neighbors put in new PVC fences on the side opposite of my fence. They have mentioned how our fence is old. It's wood. One side is slightly slanted, the other there is no issue. We have a ton of other expenses before we can do a fence. I let them know that straight out that even if we were going to replace it, it won't be for a few years from now.

we put up a fence a few years ago. Everyone has the chain link fence around us and we wanted more privacy from one neighbor.
so we just put that in front and left everyone's fence up.

Yeah, not your responsibility. Tell her her fence is their cost.
ETS: As long as your fence is on your property, then it shouldn't make a difference to her what is on your side.
