Nikon D40X Users
I'm getting a new lense! But I dont know which one to go with. I like the sharp main object, with a blurred out background. I'm guessing something with good zoom, but I also want to be able to take pics super close up.
Can anyone recommend anything?

barb and i have the 18-200 lens- which is my main lens and hardly ever take work....i love it...
i know there is a 55-200 out there too, which im sure is nice as well....

I'd go for the 18-200 as well. I don't see the point of 55-200 because you're still switching lenses & for me the point is to avoid that.

Mine came packaged with an 18-55 and a 55-200 and I wish it was just an 18-200. Would have been so much easier. So now I'm saving up for that one.

Thanks ladies! I think I'm going to go with the 18-200. My sister let me test out her 55-200 (at least I THINK thats what it was) and I liked it, except I couldnt get too close to anything, or it would not focus.
