Northport middle schools
Do they have after care? What do working parents do with 11 and 12 year olds??

There is no after care for middle schoolers in the district.
They do have a lot of clubs like homework clubs, computer club, etc & then they can take the late bus home (which is about 4ish depending on what middle school). Also look into the YDA. They have after school activites too http://ydaonline.org/activity-calendar.cfm
This is the baby steps to having your kid come home by himself/herself. slightly nerve wracking but having a cell phone gave me peace of mind.
