Did anyone see the movie with Laura Dern? I don't remember the name but she was pregnant and drank/inhaled paint while she was pregnant. It showed the pro life and pro choice groups. Such a strange movie, but interesting.

I agree that this post becomes a neverending battle of people attempting to convince others of their viewpoint.

BUT, I must say that the respect shown and restraint from name-calling on such a hot button topics is nice to see. (for the most part)

Thanks, that must be it because I remember her character's name being Ruth.

pro-choice. I know I wouldn't choose it, but I think it is important to allow individuals to make their own choices.

Women go there looking for answers and they don't lie to them. They use real facts to support the right-to-life.

that is a falsehood. just so you know.

I know nothing about these videos.....but a fetus DOES feel pain at some point! I do not know the exact time, but it most certainly does have nerve endings and pain receptors fully functioning by a certain point of gestation. There is no arguing those facts...WHEN it occurs is another story..I honestly have no clue.

a fetus begins to feel pain at 20 weeks (approx. 5 months.) The brain needs to be developed in specific areas to register pain.

Re: Not sure if this was done before - are you pro-life or pro-choice?

I am pro-choice, I think it is an individual's right, however in this day and age I have a hard time hearing about abortions because of an "oops"JMHO though, and I would not want us to revert to back alley abortions.

For medical reasons and for victims of rape, I can understand why it would be done.

Having DD changed my perspective in that I can say with almost certainty I could never have an abortion for myself.

But, I would never dare substitute my personal hesitations upon the millions of women in this country. Every person's situation is unique to themselves, and I'm pro-choice because I believe every woman has the right to make that decision for herself.

same here. Well said.

Re: Not sure if this was done before - are you pro-life or pro-choice?

I always considered myself pro-life.

Then I became a mother.

If I was pregnant and my life was on the line, I am unsure what I would do. Both babies are my children, but how could I leave Josh behind as well as another baby?

I feel for anyone in the position to have to chose.

I do believe that life starts at conception. I do believe it is wrong to have an abortion as BC.

I have a question. If abortions were made illegal - would abortions performed to save the life of the mother also be illegal?

I am pro-choice, but that doesn't mean pro-death.

I abhor the term "pro-life".

YES! I was trying to figure out a way to get that across. Thank you!

I am pro-choice and never use the term pro-life. I refer to that side of the issue as anti-choice.

THAT would turn into one of those dangerous 'gray' areas that politicians would argue about .........yet another example of why I'm Pro Choice

Wouldn't this be considered PRO-CHOICE?

I have always found that pro-lifers are anti abortion with exceptions. (for the most part)

Pro-choicers are pro-choice to keep the exceptions that pro-lifers want legal.

This is such a personal and touchy subject...I'll always be pro-choice. Nobody knows what it feels like to go through the experience unless you've been there...I'd rather be unborn than be unloved, or not be able to live a normal life (health-wise).

Re: Not sure if this was done before - are you pro-life or pro-choice?

i said i was pro choice- which i am- but with stipulations. if a woman gets PG (unplanned) and decides not to keep it, im all for pro-choice. but if a woman gets pg, several times and is using abortion as a form of BC, then im not for it.
