Dh just got the text from his friends still on the job...his family is removing life support today. His pct was just notified.
So sad....
how sad, prayers for his family.

It makes me upset because a lot of times these doctors are so quick to say that they have little to no brain function -- and they often encourage the family to remove life support, donate organs, etc. They go by what they see on the scans now but right now the swelling is so severe that you can't get a clear picture at what you are really dealing with in terms of trauma/damage. And they make a decision based on that and I know, because I have seen it so many times, that a lot of times these people CAN recover -- but they are removed from life support so early on. I have such a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach about this.

I'll wait until it is confirmed to update the post.
The PBA president just texted me that evidently he had severe brain stem bleeding as a result of the wound. That is just horrible.

I'm with you.
I was at a 5K run in Cypress Hills Cemetery that was in honor of Officer Figoski, and that cemetery is also where officers Liu and Ramos are buried. People were quite somber yesterday morning given the news about officer Moore.
It's just awful. Awful.

I am sick right now, and just want to cry for this young life taken way too soon, again another officer who never even had a chance to protect himself, and news reports saying the lawyer wants to say it was an illegal arrest due to lack of a search warrant, makes me even more sick
May God bless his family and try to bring them some sort of peace and comfort in this horrible tragedy
