So who is gonna riot and burn down neighborhoods now? Oh right, no one.
What a shame. I guess the rioters can count this officer's death as a victory?
wtf?
who is saying his death is a victory?

Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.
This thread is not the time or the place for controversy.
May the officer rest in peace.

Why is everyone so shocked at this statement. I clearly remember when Eric Garner died, some minorities wanting cops killed. There are sickos still out there who say this and consider it a victory. WAKE UP FROM FAIRYTALE LAND, THIS IS REAL LIFE AND IT IS ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE .

I do have to agree. Thank you.
As much as I have certain feelings too that can be fueled by outrage and anger -- mostly having to do with the Mayor and how he treats the police in the city... as well as his "laissez faire" approach to combating gun possession/violence, which I feel has a connection to the rise in gun-related incidents we have seen recently which ultimately led to this poor officer's massacre. I also feel angry that the monster who did this was released after being convicted for something as serious as attempted murder. But I am trying to keep all of that under control right now to instead focus on this poor officer and what happened to him... May he rest in peace and may his family and loved ones see real justice.
As far as Baltimore, Ferguson, Princess Charlotte, Obama, the Tsunami, Free Ice Cream Cones, and anything else that may get a connection drawn -- I can't even focus on all that shit right now. This is just too tragic. It has really ruined my day.
I just keep thinking, 25 years old.
ETA - and yes, I can UNDERSTAND why some people might feel angry because some "rejoicing" for lack of a better term has taken place on social media -- and people are doing the connection to Baltimore and other police-related stories... So yes, I can understand how someone might feel disgusted like, great now these awful people are going to feel a sense of happiness at what happened. It is sick but it's true. It happens. Just look on the Newsday comments. It's scary and sad. But we should try and ignore that ignorance and hate -- that is just so wrong and anyone who feels that way, honestly, is sick in the head. I can't focus my energy on that kind of putrid filth.

Where will the protests for him be? Who will stand up for the cops?
This is exactly my question...
I asked this on Facebook with very mixed responses.

Why would there be protests?
This is a horrible event, but the shooter was apprehended quickly, indicted, and justice will be served.
Its not like there is an epidemic of cop killers not being prosecuted.

NYPD Officer Brian Moore, shot in Queens, has passed away-
I'm so sickened. Officer Moore was a good friend of my brother and cousin... I didn't know him personally, but they say he was a great friend and dedicated officer. To be murdered at such a young age while protecting a city we all love is just heartbreaking. Many prayers for him, his family, friends and all of those who put thier lives on the line for you and me each and every day.
And may his murderer burn the deepest most fiery gates of hell. A true POS. No sympathy for him or "his situation."

Yes. There is no need to protest because the justice system is working correctly in this situation.
I'm not going to say anymore about that on this thread, out of respect. RIP.

Exactly. If anyone thinks there should be protests over this then they're sorely misguided.

How awful that THIS is what this post turned into. A young man is dead and his parents have to bury him. Keep your ******** to a minimum.
RIP Officer Moore.

Oh come on. Let's be real. This innocent officers death comes the week after the riots. The death of this police officer will absolutely be connected in many aspects to the current tensions between police and the racism issues.

Thank you. How anyone can say that the people who feel police are the "enemy" will see this as a revolt against police all the more.
And it once again exemplifies the difficult jobs that police face daily and the way they put their lives on the line. And reality is they are NOT perfect, and sometimes when criminals revolt and defy the law/police, bad things can happen to them.
This officer paid the price for another POS dirtbag that has no respect for the law or others.

And the worst part is NY does not have the death penalty so this piece of sh1t, animal, savage, thug will have to sit in jail on the tax payers dime and get 3 meals a day, exercise and even an education
This state disgusts me.
Just a shame they didn't have to kill him to apprehend him.
I wonder if the mayor will say that his fellow cops should be given the "space to destroy things" in protest of his death- just like in Baltimore. I wonder how that would go over.
Same concept as what I said.

NYPD Officer Brian Moore, shot in Queens, has passed away-
The point of my post is that there are people out there that are happy about this bc they hate the police. This was a senseless murder. And yes the pos was found and is in custody. But it doesn't change the way this country has been acting lately. Cop lives matter too. But we will light a candle and respect his death the way civilized people do.

Re: NYPD Officer Brian Moore, shot in Queens, has passed away-
I agree with everything DaniJude said. I am beyond sick about this. He was a baby, just starting his life & career. He did everything right. Went to school, chose a career path, worked towards his goal and accomplished it. Exactly what we want for our children. All of that just to be shot down by some repeat offender POS. I don't give a damn how he grew up or what a tough life he had. My heart hearts for his family and for everyone who kisses their family member goodbye in the morning and wonders if they will be coming back home. The state of the world has me in a very sad place. I pray for resolution and peace.

I have a friend who's husband is a PO in Queens and I called to check on him today. Thank goodness he is well and has a few days off.
