[YES, I DO know.

How do YOU know I do NOT know??

I was asking HOW because the poster stated what the plan was but not HOW to do it.

Seriously, CHILLAX.

I don't know, nor do I particularly care where you ascertained your world view from...but when you insist on something like a little harpie...it gets annoying.

Well, I do care about other people's views - including yours. So, you can continue to not care about mine and find them annoying but I'll take the high road, happily.

I do the right thing and respect other people's different opinions and although I might get peeved at times and tempermental like anyone else - I don't get out and out mean.

I am sorry if you think I'm mean. I talk to everyone the same way, including my loved ones, if it makes you feel better. it's not out of malice...I just don't have much sugar on my tongue. Chat Icon

and to be clear, I didn't say I didn't care about your views, just how you ascertained them.

I don't question WHY you don't believe in abortion...that's your choice...or WHY you think McCain's strategy from iraq is better.

I question why you question ME about why I think it's better...but it could all be semantics.

the "prove obama's worth it" comments are silly..BOTH sides should be proving their merit to everyone...and everyone should be informed.

Lets face it. The president doesn't really make most of the decisions. He has a group of people that he confides in (his advisors).

The advisors are really the ones that run the government, along with Congress.

This is why the "experience" arguement is really not that big of a deal (on either side).

Most presidents that lack the experience tend to surround themselves with people that are experienced (Sec of State, Defense Sec, Homeland Sec, etc.)

and to add to your statement in which by way I agree with.
Look at what our current experienced
President has done to this country!

Obama was my 3rd choice, behind Biden and then Hillary. I'll vote for him, but I wish he were more experienced.

But the rhetoric I'm hearing from the RNC is frightening. This "I'm not apologizing for being an american" line by Thompson underscores what I think is a fundamental difference between the two parties right now.

Like it or not we are in a global economy and we are not leading it - china is. Our reputation is severely tarnished and it's not just about who can keep us safe - it's also about who can rebuild those relationships we need in order to thrive again. America needs to be, for lack of a better term, rebranded. And Obama's being articulate, sensible, and mixed race will, I believe help us in the eyes of the world. Am I voting for him because of just those things? no. I also think McCain is articulate and sensible. But this whole "go it alone" foreign policy is not going to help us.

ITA with everything above, and you said it better than I could have said it myself.

That's good for you if that is how you speak to people. I'm fine with that - it really doesn't hurt me.

I, however, do not talk to people like that - especially those in my family. We are very different in that way and there is nothing wrong with that.

I actually do believe in a woman's right to choose. I don't know where I stated that I do not - even though I am voting for McCain/Palin that happens to be one thing I personally disagree with them about BUT there are more things I agree with them on than things I disagree with them on so that is how I made my decision.

I never questioned you specifically regarding your choices and why - just in general, I was putting it out there. I really had no 'underlying motive' - I was, really, just curious to see how other people, who are planning on voting for someone different than me, feel.

I have also never catergorized anyone as mean, silly, uninformed, lame, crazy...or any other adjective...you get the idea. and since I disagree that I fit any of those descriptions, I find it rude that you would call me "mean", when you don't inf fact know me from a hole in the wall.

such is life, and we cannot control how our words are read or interpretted...it seemed to me, to MY eyes, that you were getting at something, so I answered accordingly...just as you, to your eyes, view what I wrote as "mean."

all I can do (which I did) is apologize for what is construed as meanness, b/c I do not intend it to be taken that way and go about my way...but since you have rebuffed my apology..I will just be extra careful when addressing you from now on, if that time should ever come.

have a good night.

ok - it's alright! it isn't a big deal - i just felt the 'annoying' comment was a little on the mean side - is all. and the cutie patootie gesture - a little snarky but that's OK - once you said that is just how you are i better understood it even though i'm different.

i appreciate that you apologized - you didn't even have to do that. i'm sorry you thought i rebuffed your apology - i don't even know what rebuffed means but i'm sure it means something along the lines of dismissed... i promise, i am not trying to "win" in this or start a big thing. and i DO accept your apology - i promise i am not dismissing it.

ok? Chat Icon

Most leaders in the business and job world, don't have direct experience in their new jobs. I think the experience ticket is a bit silly

"experience" isn't helping us any in that department right now, is it????

what foreign policy did Bush have...do MOST govenors have? they are DOMESTIC leaders.

and like I've said, I don't think this YIPPY KAYEEE we are balls to the walls americans...going in and wreckin' **** (my personal interpretation Chat Icon ) is a great foreign policy.

I LIKE diplomacy. I LIKE the idea of temperance in the right situations.

REMEMBER...Congress has to vote for war (and can bring the resolution on its own, I *THINK* someone correct me if I am wrong)

so having John "war hero" McCain on the red button does not a speedy retaliation make...if that is even what you are looking for.

I do NOT like the Republicans "we are for Israel blindly" approach b/c I feel there is fault on BOTH sides of the Israel-Palestinian conflict (and Israel is guilty of some gross human rights violations) so Obama's approach is welcome.

You said it PERFECTLY!! I couldnt agree more. I thought the same thing re: Bush being a senator.

Re: Obama Supporters...

I view Obama as a person....I am sure that if you were to ask anyone currently living in a FEMA trailer what they think about Obama's lack of foreign policy....they would laugh.

No offense, but that's how I feel. McCain is an incredible American...the best of the best. I very much appreciate how McCain and Palin are both parents of soldiers.

But I am ready for a President of the People.

Would NO even have gotten a nod if Gustav wasn't coming through?
