***OFFICIAL APRIL 2015 THREAD***
hey ladies! my c-section has been scheduled for April 3rd! i had a growth sono yesterday at 33 weeks and she's measuring 5lbs 14oz. im having nightmares im gonna have a 12lb baby.
i go back in 2 weeks and then i start weekly visits! we're keeping an eye on my blood pressure since i had pre-eclampsia the first time.
my hips have been killing me! i'm waking up 3 times a night to pee and then it takes me 30-60 minutes to fall back asleep.
the nursery has all the furniture in it but otherwise it's bare. my shower is in 3 weeks! hope she lasts that long. lol

Anyone else getting kicked in the ribs? It's painful! My mom said it's payback because I did that to her.

I can't believe it's almost here!! It's so crazy!! I feel like we were all JUST posting about our BFPs!!
Does anyone actually feel "ready" for the baby?? I'm starting to panic a little because I pretty much feel the furthest thing from ready....

No I am not ready at all. It would help if my furniture would get here.

Re: ***OFFICIAL APRIL 2015 THREAD***
Hey ladies! Hope you are all doing well. I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and exactly 30 days away from my c section! I feel pretty ready for baby. Just need to get batteries for everything, diapers and such. Putting on my socks and shaving has become severely uncomfortable. My husbands cousin had her baby this weekend at 34 weeks and he weighed 6lbs 11ounces and from what I hear will be going home with her in a few days. She had some complications and he was born via c section. I am so happy her and the baby are doing well.

Glad she and the baby are all right. 34 weeks isn't to bad but it's still early. But I know a lot of people who went 6 weeks early and had healthy children.
That's the scary thing, were all coming into the "could go at any time" window. Keep us posted if you have your DC early!

I made it to my two previous c sections at 39 weeks, so I am pretty much banking on not going early with this little guy lol.

They moved my c-section up 3 days to 3/21. That's when my dr wanted to do it, because it's the earliest date allowed with myomectomys and they don't want to risk me going into labor, but they couldn't book it. I guess it opened up or something. So it's even closer then I thought.

WOW! I'm glad everything's ok. That's a good sized baby for 34 weeks though.
And I hear you about the shaving and socks. I swear getting dressed is like a full on workout. I can still shave my legs but that's about it.

I tried to blind shave "down below" about a week ago and I felt like I was taking my life in my hands. LOL Even with the beard trimmer rather than a razor the result was pretty comical. Waxing is definitely on my "to-do" agenda.
I'm the same way sleeping too. I started shoving a small throw pillow behind my back and butt and it seems to help a little but I have a body pillow and rolling over with that thing is like wrestling a gator LOL

I tried to do that to and gave up. I have these great little bikini razors I use in the summer and for my knees all the time. But it seemed like to dangerous an endeavor, even with them.
For my legs I am really having no trouble. I have a seat that I put in the shower after my myomectomy, so its back in the shower and I sit on it to shave. I'm wearing a dress to my shower Saturday so glad I don't have to have my mom or DH shave my legs, lol.

Exciting and petrifying all at the same time. I can't believe how close it is. Thank god most of my furniture arrived at the store yesterday. DH is picking it up tomorrow. Now if only my Uncle would find a temp, since I now have only 3 weeks to train someone to not make a mess of my job that I have carefully organized.

Just came back from my growth sono and at 32w2d he's weighing in around 4.5. I've been having so much pressure and BH lately. This is around the time it started with my girls too and they came 3wk early. So I'm anticipating another early delivery with this one too. We shall see

Re: ***OFFICIAL APRIL 2015 THREAD***
April ladies check in...
We're in March now so were all getting close. How is everyone feeling?
I had my big shower over the weekend and it was amazing. Such a beautiful party and my college friends came from MD, PA, CT, NJ.... It was so nice. We got a lot of beautiful things.
I'm under 3 weeks from my c-section. I've got to be honest I'm not one of those I love being pregnant people. Everything aches, it's getting hard to move and my non stop moving DD is killing my ribs. I'm so sore in my rib cage under my right breast I think she may have bruised it. So I'm kind of thrilled by the 38 week c-section.
But I'm also flipping a little because we have so much to do and feel like I have no time to do it in. And my uncle still hasn't found a temp for my position, so assuming we find one by the weeks end, next week will be spent training someone. Which means I'll be in work more then usual. Hope she doesn't come early because I cringe at the thought of leaving someone in my job untrained. I'm very meticulous and have a very organized system. I'd like it to stay that way?

I'm so happy you had a nice time at your shower! I'm sorry you ended up with so many duplicates but hopefully you can return them easily and get the other things you need.
I hear you on work stress though. I'm kind of in a similar position. I'm only taking 6 official weeks off and then back PT until the baby can start daycare but I'm starting to worry that I'm not even going to be able to have the 6 weeks. Ultimately though, that's the management's responsibility and you need to do what you need to do to take care of your DD. I know you're not having very much fun right now, but you're in the HOME STRETCH!!!

Yeah he did the strep B today but no internal. Is that because its a scheduled c-section? I figured since they don't want me to go into labor they would still be checking. Did you have a growth sono? I meant to ask today and forgot. But I heard scheduled c-sections they don't do that either.

Problem is its my dad's company, his baby that he built the same year I was born. Unfortunately he laid off a ton of people last year, and nearly shut his doors. I already did work for them part time, so when they came up with a plan to keep it going I went back at first for free, and now I get paid. I have been there part time for about 2 years, doing their billing, invoicing and bookkeeping.
My Uncle took over as the comptroller. They actually hadn't planned on laying the comptroller off but she took 3 days off immediately following the layoffs, so they fired her. My uncle thought he could handle my job and his for a few weeks but finally realized what a disaster that would be. Being he is in a bit over his head as comptroller. In the office we only have my dad (sales), John (service), Ron (GM), my Uncle (comptroller) and myself. So there is no one to take over my job. I guess I care so much because its my dad's business.
At least mom is more willing to babysit being I am helping out my dad by working there, and I could bring the baby there if I absolutely had to. But given its a c-section I would rather not have to go back there for two months.

i had a growth sono at 33 weeks cause they thought she was measuring big...which she was at 5lbs 14oz. ill have another one next week at 36 weeks.

Glad that you enjoyed your shower! Try not to stress about your job because once you have that little one, nothing else will matter. But, tell your uncle to get crackin!
Is anyone else swelling? Out of nowhere, my ankles and feet are swelling pretty bad. My blood pressure is still norm and I have been watching my sodium intake but man, I am down to 2 pairs of shoes that I can actually wear! My doc siad it's normal but I hate looking at my feet like this, they actually hurt! One more month to go!
