.:: Official AUGUST 2012 Mommy to be Thread! ::.
Glad to here us all making some progress! 10 days till my dd and im so uncomfy!!! I'm going to walk around target today in hopes of enticing ds to come out! I get lots of BH-usually I drink water and lay down and the subside. 2 weeks ago at dr I was 50% effaced and a centimeter dilated. I go again Thursday-hoping for progress!!!

Might sound dumb but what do contractions actually feel like? I can't even feel my BH contractions (even though when I go to the doc, he says I am having them).
ETA: yesterday I felt what felt like menstrual cramps a few times, but not sure if thats what they are supposed to feel like!
I was told I was having contractions before I could feel them as well. Now I can feel them. I am a first timer too though, so I don't know for 100% but I can feel my contractions and for me it is a tightness in and around the belly, like a tight stretching. It is usually painless but sometimes can be painful, especially if back pain starts with it. And also menstrual cramping feeling. Essentially for me- It feels like your belly is hard and you are starting to get your period.
I can't feel them either. Once or twice I have had menstrual like cramps.

Just got back from my growth sono! Baby is measuring 6 lbs. 12 oz. and is estimated to weigh 8 lbs. 5 oz. at birth! Based on my measurments my due date moved up to August 21st...but of course that doesn't necessarily mean that I will go early, even though the baby is head down and making me feel like I will give birth at any moment!

Im so tired and uncomfortable. Baby is still breech so we're still on for the C section on August 15th. He's weighing 6lbs which is pretty good considering I have GD. I'm ready. Looking forward to hearing all the baby stories from us August mommies

I have my doctors appointment today and then 11 days until my scheduled c-section. I hope I don't go early!

Just had my appointment. Baby's head is low but I'm not getting an internal until 38 weeks. I feel okay otherwise. BH contractions have increased a lot lately. I hope it means soon!

How is everyone today?? I feel awful-cramps, nausea, and stomach-praying its all a sign of labor starting soon and not just a bad day!

So i went to my 37 week doc appt last night...and feeling very discouraged right now. No progress whatsoever, baby has not dropped, nothing going on with my cervix. He seems to be comfy in there. The doc said not to be surprised if I am overdue... ughh 
It stinks because the later I go, the more sick days I lose at work and won't get paid for (my vacation calendar at work runs out August 31). However I'm hesitant to take random sick days now just in case I do go early...
But right now I just feel DONE. I am all swollen, my back kills, I can't sleep at night, I can't bend down or put on pants without feeling like I just did a workout..
I am going to try and lay off the salt to see if that helps the swelling.

I applaud you for even being able to put on pants. 
Seriously, because at this point- 38 weeks for me, and it's been like 2 weeks since I could... I have NOT been able to do so. It's a struggle to get underwear on, so I have just been throwing on a dress every single day.
I feel so incapable of doing everything and anything!!!
9 more days to go!!

Awww, i hear ya. I remember a while a ago you said your baby was breech. Is he still breech? and if not when did he turn? My son is breech and has been for over a month now. My doctor doesn't think he'll turn so that's why I'm scheduled for a c-sectiono on august 15

Well I guess at least you know when he's coming, good luck! My baby turned, he was breech at my 20 week sono but I am not sure at what point he turned because I did not get another sonogram until about 32 or 34 weeks (I had to request a sono from my doc to check to see if he was still breech) and by that point he had turned. Just waiting for him to drop...

Went to what I thought was my 39w3d visit but they have my due date as tomorrow the 3rd not the 7th (I guess my preggo brain didn't here them bump it up in the first tri)... Had my growth-sono and non stress test... He's projected DS to be......
9 pounds 7 oz
Wowza! So I have an induction date scheduled for August 10th!! I hope I go before but I doubt I will because there has been no action yet at all.

at my appt last night i was still 50% effaced but a whole whopping .5 cm more dialated making me 1.5cm dialated. i guess it's something at least.
