Still nauseated at nearly 19 weeks- can't believe I'm almost halfway there!!! If you really can't wait for 20 weeks, you can do an elective gender sono. If you're team green, you can always tell the tech you're having a gender reveal and then throw out the envelope!

Starting to work on the nursery- picked out bedding and even ordered a few things since it's a clearance set and things are selling out quickly! Came up with a name - Henry. Trying to just get his room done before I go back to work in Sept! And DS is obsessed with saying Henry over and over! He usually points to my boobs instead of my belly, but it's cute!

Boo to still being nauseous. But YAY to being almost halfway there! Where did you pick out bedding from/order from? I'm scared to order or buy anything. Henry is a great name!

Bedding at Amazon

I picked out the bedding from Buy Buy Baby online, but they only had a few pieces, so I looked around and Amazon has a lot of stuff! So far I've only ordered a crib sheet, stuffed animal, valance, and wall decals. I bought a Cocalo set for DS1, so I want to make sure they have the same things - crib sheet, comforter, fuzzy blanket, wall decals, hamper, diaper stacker, lamp, valance, crib ruffle, mobile, and stuffed animal all in the theme. I won't order the whole bedding set until after 20 weeks. I just had to order the 4 things I did because they only had 1 left in stock and once they sell out it'll be gone because it's a discontinued bedding set!

With DS1 I didn't buy anything until nearly 30 weeks. I think it's harder with your first to really commit to buying things. I still don't want to buy things too early though!

*** OFFICIAL DECEMBER 2014 THREAD ***

So tomorrow is 15 weeks and we FINALLY told our immediate family yesterday. I was so freaking nervous and not sure if it was even the right decision, but its done. They were very happy. I'm still just trying to take it day by day so they were talking about names and when the baby is here and I got a little freaked out. I explained to them that we had some complications in the beginning ( I didn't get into my IF issues) and I am nervous and want to take things as they come. I don't know if they fully got it but we'll see.

What are you all doing for exercise? My plan is to walk everyday since its nice out and to do some light weights. Anyone doing prenatal yoga? I'm looking into that now.

Enjoy the beautiful day!

Very cute set! I have an Amazon Gift Card so I will be doing a lot of shopping on there. I will probably wait until after the 20 week AS to register for anything. Hopefully by then I'll be more comfortable with it all.

I love the selection at Baby Supermall. I then look for the same bedding sets cheaper throughout the internet!

I'm never hungry! It really annoying bc I am forcing myself to eat. I hate meat so I'm definitely not getting in the protein I need. I think I'm doing okay with fruits and veggies though. What are you doing for protein?

I eat Greek yogurt for breakfast with almonds, and sometimes if I'm still hungry, I eat a mini bagel or multigrain english muffin with greek style cream cheese.

Lunch is hard, especially with the girls. I barely have time to eat, but if I do it's always salad with beans/chick peas, tzatziki and pita (if I make it) or cheese and fruit. Yesterday I had fat free refried beans with salsa and a ton of sour cream on baked tostitos. Sometimes I'll make sauerkraut on rye bread with mustard and cheese. Disgusting, I know Chat Icon

Dinner is always chicken, turkey, fish, pork or red meat (rarely) with 2 veggies, one of them being a form of bean or legume. DH and I love salad, too and I always have chick peas and beans in there. I've been craving hot peppers, too.
Every night for "dessert" I either have a greek yogurt, peanut butter and apple or banana, or an organic ice pop.

Wow, that sounds good as far as protein intake. I used to eat greek yogurt everyday for lunch but it now disgusts me. I am allergic to beans and chick peas....uhhh. I hate meat so I feel like I'm out of luck with this protein thing. So I guess protein shakes it will be and cheese until I like meat again. I'm really trying and if its in disguise like in something I can tolerate it.

Finally starting to feel definite movement although it's still not frequent at all. Can't wait for it to be more consistent! My appetite has been pretty normal the whole time so I've just been eating normally. Haven't gained too much but omg, my bump the last day or two is out of control! I feel like I look 6 months and I'm just 16 weeks. I don't know if it's the heat or the insomnia but I get so tired and achy already. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when I'm really big. DD is really excited and seems to get it a lot more than I expected at 2. She keeps saying she wants a brother when people ask but I don't think she knows what that one means!

I know what you mean! Right now my bump is as big as it was when I was 7 months pregnant with DS1! I was sleeping on my belly until 36 weeks with him, but Henry kicks me every time I try to do it! I keep telling him "stop it! Your brother never did that!" But he keeps going so I have to roll!

Are you finding out? My nephews told me they DID NOT want a girl cousin, lol. They got their wish!

Lol, my nephews were pretty disappointed when we cut into our pink cake at our gender reveal! DH and I are thrilled DD will have a sister. I was surprised, bc I've felt much differently this pregnancy than last- I really thought it might be a boy bc of that! 18 weeks today and sporting a huge bump already(and everywhere else seems to be growing rapidly too!). With my first, I only just started to show around this time. Not feeling too much movement yet, just some "pokes" here and there. Can't believe we're almost to the halfway point already!

Omg, you're so good! In the beginning, it was hard for me to eat anything other than carbs, carbs, carbs! I've felt much better for a couple of weeks now, but I still haven't kicked my bagel habit. Could be why my @ss is getting as round as my belly, lol. Gonna try really hard to get back to eating right this week!

I feel the same as you this time around! Big all around, and just carb-craving. With the twins, I didn't start wearing maternity clothes until 18 weeks or so and gained 29lbs. total.
With this baby @18w, I'm already up 10 pounds Chat Icon I've been wearing maternity clothes for a month, and I still weigh 10-12 lbs less than when I got pg with the twins! it's just different....

Congratulations on the Chat Icon !!!!!!!!

Can I add you as Chat Icon? I would love for DD to have a sister! DH and his family are definitely rooting boy. I'll be excited for either.

Anyone else need to be added or have a gender to update?

Sure, thanks! Chat Icon With DD1, we stayed team green, so I was a little nervous what my reaction would be to finding out this time. Would I be disappointed to know so early? But, I'm happy and just as excited knowing. I'm sure we would have been just excited for a boy too. Are you going to find out or will you stay strong?

I'm the opposite. Found out last time and not finding out this time. I really don't even have the urge to find out since we have so little to do (baby will be in our room and then share with DD eventually). I'm also thinking about trying to go without the epi so I figure the surprise may be extra motivation at the end. We'll see!

Yeah, I felt the same as you, but DH reaaaally wanted to know this time around, so I gave in. And I give you lots of credit for considering going natural! I'm not so sure if I'm that brave. Good luck!

I will find out next week at around 16 weeks. Last week when I was at the OB they said the Panaroma is now covered for women 30 and above not 35 so I decided to go for it. I rather know if anything is wrong now so I can be prepared and also its nice to find out the gender a month earlier. DH wants a boy and I don't care as long as he/she is healthy.

OH and we told our immediate families the news and they were so excited. Still staying in hiding for everyone else since no bump yet and since I am still nervous. Maybe after the 16 week app next week we will be more open with it. Still no weight gain and I'm really trying to eat more and up my protein intake.

I am too trying to go natural. I'm scared to death of it but I figure I'll give it a shot. I have been looking into the Bradley method-http://www.bradleybirth.com/. I'm gonna contact them next month and see when the classes are offered and what the cost is.

I'm DYING to know!!! I wish my doctor offered something between the 12 week & the 20 week (which will be at 21 weeks for me).

I'm 18 weeks and have lost about 20 pounds, which I've only gained 2 pounds back in the last 3 weeks or so... don't feel bad about not gaining weight!

I had the Panorama done also. Chat Icon for good results for you! I wouldn't worry about all about not having gained weight or not showing yet. Is this your first? With my first, I didn't show until 18 weeks, and some lucky ladies show even later. Everyone's different.

Ha, its so weird not knowing! I didn't really want to know but DH HAD to know so I figured why not. Hang in there, you will find out soon enough. I have my 16 week appointment on Monday but most likely the results won't be in until the end of the week.

I weighed myself today and not much going on. I really try to eat what I'm supposed to but its hard with these food aversions. I'm wearing my normal summer clothes so I'm wondering when I will get a bump. Jeans still button and all....I mean I guess its good but I feel like I'm not eating what I need.

Thanks! So far the NT scan BW came back great so I'm hoping this comes back normal as well. I always worry but I'm trying to tell myself I didn't plan on even doing this BW bc it wasn't being offered to me so I have to think positive.

Yes. this is my first. I guess its good that I'm not showing bc I can wear my normal clothes and still be in hiding! But I do worry about the nutrition I am getting. I just wanna be able to eat meat again! I been doing protein shakes and lots of fruits and veggies.

The lovely ladies here calmed me down so much at first because I couldn't eat a thing but ritz crackers in the beginning, they reminded me that the vitamins you take help immensely, and that baby will take the nutrients they need before they are passed on to you.... baby comes first, momma comes second. Enjoy the time of NOT showing - once you start showing you get the comments and the unwanted belly-rubs!
