I will find out next week at around 16 weeks. Last week when I was at the OB they said the Panaroma is now covered for women 30 and above not 35 so I decided to go for it. I rather know if anything is wrong now so I can be prepared and also its nice to find out the gender a month earlier. DH wants a boy and I don't care as long as he/she is healthy.
OH and we told our immediate families the news and they were so excited. Still staying in hiding for everyone else since no bump yet and since I am still nervous. Maybe after the 16 week app next week we will be more open with it. Still no weight gain and I'm really trying to eat more and up my protein intake.
I had the Panorama done also. for good results for you! I wouldn't worry about all about not having gained weight or not showing yet. Is this your first? With my first, I didn't show until 18 weeks, and some lucky ladies show even later. Everyone's different.
Thanks! So far the NT scan BW came back great so I'm hoping this comes back normal as well. I always worry but I'm trying to tell myself I didn't plan on even doing this BW bc it wasn't being offered to me so I have to think positive.
Yes. this is my first. I guess its good that I'm not showing bc I can wear my normal clothes and still be in hiding! But I do worry about the nutrition I am getting. I just wanna be able to eat meat again! I been doing protein shakes and lots of fruits and veggies.
The lovely ladies here calmed me down so much at first because I couldn't eat a thing but ritz crackers in the beginning, they reminded me that the vitamins you take help immensely, and that baby will take the nutrients they need before they are passed on to you.... baby comes first, momma comes second. Enjoy the time of NOT showing - once you start showing you get the comments and the unwanted belly-rubs!
Thanks! OMG I would not be cool with belly rubs! I have never rubbed a pregnant women's belly- it freaks me out. Oh man I guess I'll have to go into Biotch mode when people try.

So many people are belly touchers!!!! It's so awkward since I'm not a touchy person and DS1 was not an active baby, so it's not like people were getting anything out of it.

Scary. I can see a close friend or family member, even though that would still freak me out, but someone I don't know well would totally freak me out and make me uncomfortable!

I'm not looking forward to this lol. I saw a shirt on pinterest that says "You can touch my belly if I can punch your face"....might have to look into it lolol.

*** OFFICIAL DECEMBER 2014 THREAD ***
I have my 16 week checkup this afternoon. I already know there isn't going to be a sonogram, does anyone know what I can expect? So far all my other ones have been sonogram appointments. Not sure what to expect. My next sono will be at 20 weeks with the anatomy scan.

Mine was a quick apt - urine (they check that every visit now), weight (lost another 2 pounds at my 15 week apt), and BP. Your doc will go over your symptoms, any issues you're having, etc. Oh, and hb on doppler. I was in and out in a few minutes... I did get a note from my doctor directing my DH that we needed to "increase sexual activity immediately" as I told her that we hadn't DTD the entire pregnancy up to that point. If I remember correctly her jaw literally dropped and said "oh no we have to fix that".

Welcome! Tell me about it. It has been 6 & 1/2 weeks since my last u/s and I have another 2 & 1/2 weeks to go before my anatomy scan (couldn't schedule it until 21 weeks, which they said was OK).

I went in at 14 weeks and it was a quick check up and HB on the doppler. It will be the same on Monday when I go for my 16 week app. I won't have an US until the AS at 20 weeks. Not having an US makes me so nervous. I just wanna see the baby and make sure everything looks good. GL tonight!

Pretty much exactly the same, minus the note! They also went over my nt scan results and of course answered whatever questions I had.

Aww cute! He/she will be here before you know it.
I bought my first maternity thing today. Well bc I had a coupon and I know I will need work pants for September when I go back to work. So its not for no per se but at least I was brave enough to buy it.
16 week app on Monday! Hoping for a good HB. If all looks good we might tell some people next week. Scary. Oh and I got dizzy today while shopping and had to sit down even though I had just drank a slurpee like 15 min before. Does this happen to anyone else?
Hows everyone doing?

Yeah I figured it was normal and just sat around for a few. At least we aren't super prego during the summer!

Had my 20 week anatomy scan today! Was so nice to see DS and everything looked great. He's measuring a few days behind, so I have to go back in 2 weeks to get a better look at his heart. Glad I get to go back to see him again - I love having sonograms since I have very inactive children and can never feel them move!
How's everyone else doing?

Aww that's great. Mine is in about two weeks and I cannot believe it! This pregnancy is going way to fast for me and the summer just keeps getting busier which is not going to help!

I had my 16 week appointment yesterday and they did a surprise sono so that was nice. Little one looked good.
Today I got my Panorama results- all normal AND....it's a boy. Today I feel better and its starting to sink in that this is really happening.
I go back next week for an early anatomy scan due to a genetic issue that runs in my family. Hopefully all looks good.

Yay! I had my anatomy scan on Monday. Hoping everything looked good. Only saw the tech and she didn't have much to say. She got all the measurements she needed within about 20 minutes, so hopefully that's a good sign. She did confirm the Panorama results were right- def a girl! Feeling pretty good so far, knock on wood!

I'm so jealous of everyone who knows! The next 2 weeks cannot go fast enough for us!
I had my monthly follow up last night, baby's heart beat was LOUD on the doppler, and as usual, baby's heartbeat was to the right of my belly button. I asked about the round ligament & stretching pains and she had such a great story! She told me about when she was first starting out there was an ER doctor that came in to the office hysterical crying and screaming that she was in pain - they ran tons of tests thinking it was her appendix, they figured as a doctor she would have realized if it were just round ligament pain... turns out everything was fine and normal - it was just the round ligament pain that this poor woman was feeling. CRAZY! I told her that I asked about it because it did make me nervous, but that everyone seems to have experienced what I felt. They also did the second half of the genetic screening, so they took a vial of blood. Can't wait for the 29th!

Aww you will know soon. It does make it more real knowing (for me anyways). I only know bc they offered me the Panorama at my 14 week appointment bc they said it is now covered by insurance for women over 30.
I think I have that round ligament pain also. I get pain/cramps every morning when I wake up. It feels really odd. My OB said its normal.

Stinks that they didn't offer it to me - I'm over 30!!!! I'm seriously going crazy not knowing yet!
I usually have them more at the end of the day than in the morning - morning I wake up feeling great, then by the end of the day it feels like between gravity and all of the food I ate, my belly is pushing everything out and it hurts more.

When I went at my 10 week appointment (first with an OB) I asked about the Panarama and they said it wasn't covered bc I was under 35. Well at my 14 week app they brought it up to me saying it was now covered, so I figured why not. It also gave me an excuse to wait to tell people longer...ha.
SO you know how I said I have pain when I wake up? Well today after getting my intralipid infusion I was walking back from the train and I started having random cramps. We then went to dinner and I had one that went from my lower stomach all the way to my boobs. So weird. Not feeling so great, so I'm in bed.
By bedtime I definitely have a belly.
