Official Healthier Lifestyle/Weight Loss Success Story Thread
There are so many of us on here that have successfully lost a significant amount of weight using Weight Watchers or other weight loss plans. I personally love sharing my story (and pictures) to help inspire others.
This could be an official thread for everyone to share their success stories to help others (and also for you to look at when you're having a bad day and remember your successes). Please share your story...and your before and after pictures! Let's showcase our amazing successes and be proud of ourselves!

Re: Official Weight Loss Success Story Thread
I joined Weight Watchers in January 2008, one month after I had gotten engaged. I had previously put on weight during college and decided I wanted it to come off once and for all. As soon as I joined, I was full swing in Weight Watchers mode. I counted points, tracked points, and measured. At the same time, I also allowed myself to induldge (so happy for those extra allowance points!). The biggest help were the meetings. Even though I woke up early on Sunday mornings, I still looked forward to each week. I had a whole support system in one room- to cheer on my successes, and see me through those tough weeks. Over the months, I watched as the weight melted away. I have been a lifetime member, at goal, for almost 2 1/2 years now. Weight Watchers has become exactly what it was promised to me- a lifestyle change. I don't feel like I have been on a year long diet. I changed the way I ate. After achieveing lifetime status, I wanted new goals. I took up running, with a goal of running a 10k. Not only did I run that 10k, I signed up for many more races (including two half marathons- both of which I successfully finished!).
Weight Watchers has helped me become a healthier, more active, and less self-conscious person. I proudly display my before and after pictures for everyone to see my successes! I would be so honored to become part of the Weight Watchers online community with my success story. After graduating college I was 180lbs and a size 14/16. Today I am 120lbs. For the first time I can fit into a size 2! Weight Watchers meetings helped me fit into my ideal wedding dress, run half marathons, and turn my entire lifestyle around.

Re: Official Weight Loss Success Story Thread
I lost almost 60 pounds with Atkins. I had gained a ton of weight after I got married, stopped smoking, and when I was dealing with infertility. I lost the weight over a long period of time (almost 2 years), and have kept it off for 2 years

Re: Official Weight Loss Success Story Thread
My Gosh! Colleen and Lisa you look AMAZING!!!
I Started WW in July of 2010. After many failed attempts to try on my own, I decided it was time to hop on the wagon. I didn't want to use the "I have 2 kids" excuse anymore. I wanted to do it for ME and for my kids! I wanted the energy to chase them around and play with them!
I still have some more to go, but, staying with it and going to keep on going.
This pic. was taken in March of last year in FL:
And This is Me 50lbs lighter just recently:
I seriously the WW program!

Re: Official Weight Loss Success Story Thread
Can we change the name to HEALTHY LIVING SUCCESS STORIES???? I always feel left out, because I didn’t lose a ton of weight, but I have been doing a healthy lifestyle for 20 years. It should be about being healthy! A great body is a side effect of a healthy lifestyle

I agree. I always feel left out as well because, as a result of living healthy throughout my life, I've never had a weight loss journey. But of course I can still understand how much discipline and strength it takes to eat healthy and stay active.
And to those of you that have posted pictures, congrats on your successful journies, you all look amazing and confident!

Re: Official Healthier Lifestyle/Weight Loss Success Story Thread
I started weight watchers right after my birthday, the exact date was May 15th 2010. I was so so tired of carrying all this extra weight around. I was miserable. It was my 5th year of being overweight. My weight gain all started after the birth of my second child and just escalated. I'm 5'0 and weighed around 200 pounds when I started. I weigh in the 120's now. I still have about ten pounds to go but I am so proud of what all my hard work brought me.

Re: Official Healthier Lifestyle/Weight Loss Success Story Thread
I really wish I had some pics. I will try to find some.
i must say that between WW and working out 2-3 times a week, I finally feel like I made it.
June 2010: Post having 2 babies (2007-2009) I was still 35 lbs overweight and having to buy size 12 clothes. I was never larger than an 8 so this bothered me. That and everyone saying "when r u due?" when my youngest was 15 months old
I joined WW and I was hestitant since I never ever DIETED in my life. BUT immediately I saw small results. These results made me workout and one thing lead to another
March 2011:--Yes ladies...i was trying on size 4s!!! size 4s!!! in ATL today. I still cant believe it
it has been a slow hard journey but worth every minute!!
size 4? really?? lol

Re: Official Healthier Lifestyle/Weight Loss Success Story Thread
I joined ww in October 2009 and have since lost 78 pounds. I am about 18-20 pounds away from my ideal/goal weight. I have gone from a size 16-18 to a size 6. I went from not working out at all to working out 6-7 days a week. I can now do 8 miles on the ellipticial and am beginning to start training for a 5K and will eventually run a half marathon. I went from someone who never ate salad, never ate fruits and veggies to someone who eats 4-5 a day.
Ladies, it takes time but stick with your program and set small goals. I always make 5 pound goals. My other advice is to make non-food rewards for yourself such as a mani or pedi, a pair of shoes, whatever is a non-food treat for you. Here are my pics:
ETA: Apparently I have no clue as to how to upload pictures to this site. When I put them as an attachment they are too big. I created an album but I don't know how to do it from there. Any thoughts?
I added pics on the 2nd page.

Re: Official Healthier Lifestyle/Weight Loss Success Story Thread
I love this.
you ladies look amazing.
I started dieting 1 year before my wedding and lost almost 75 lbs.
I am no where near where I want to be, still would like to lose another 30lbs to be really happy with myself.
So no picture posts yet, but thank you for this! It makes what seems unattainable, attainable.
