we had a growth sono last Friday.... 26w... I saw less than I did at the 20 week one.... plus baby had her hands in front of her face.

failed 3hr glucose on sat....went to diabetes center. they set me up with a food plan to monitor carbs and a glucose tester 4x day.... weekly dr visits starting at 32 weeks

Sorry to hear 
All is good here- next appt is 8/13 and I will have a growth sono. Then start going every 2 wks.
I'm not planning a shower/sprinkle, but there have been minor hints of something in the works.
We are closing on our house on/about Aug 15th, so no nursery set up yet. But can't wait!!!!

i HATE surprises so i muscled the date out of my mom and mil 
how is everyone feeling!?!? i feel like the time is FLYING and there is still so much to do  i scheduled my gd test for the 28th (ill be 28 w 2d) but im feeling great! those little taps and movements have become full fledged kicks at some points and if i lay flat at night i can see the crazy movements  so cool! hope everyone is doing great!
i hate surprises too... but my mom & sister & dh obv don't care bc they would not budge on even telling me the date. so i had a friend tell me i know nothing other than the date, but that's fine - at least i can mentally prepare myself, and wear the dress i bought!! it's going to be august 12th.
i'm officially in my 3rd tri today - i can't believe it!
my gd is scheduled for next tuesday, the 31st... i'll be 28 weeks exactly and i'm definitely dreading that.
we have our contracter scheduled to come next week as well to paint and do new molding in the nursery, and then i'll call and schedule the furniture delivery. i cannot wait for the nursery to officially be started. happy to read everyone's updates!!

Time seems to really ve flying. The nursery is all painted, the molding will go up tomorrow, and the furniture was delivered today. All we have left to do is put the rocker together and buy a full size rug for the room. I can't wait until the nursey is all finished.

hi ladies! happy to read everyone's updates (especially about your upcoming baby showers! for anyone that's having theirs on September 15th, that's my 5th wedding anniversary!  ). I'd MUCH rather hear about all of your showers than the insensitive lug at work who keeps talking about his wife's upcoming shower (he sits in my cubicle and yes he knows what happened, just proof positive that men are stupid 
I love reading all the updates and cheering you all on until I can rejoin this board! Hoping this thread surpasses 1,000 posts by the time everyone's LO is born, almost there at 800+! If anyone wants me to update baby genders just let me know (I am always reading along, or you can FM me!)...miss you guys!

I too entered my 3rd trimester a few days ago - i can't believe there's only about three months left! Craziness!!!
I had my 28 week dr appointment last night and took the GD test. It wasn't bad at all - the drink was like one of those mini-bottles of water (or maybe a tiny bit bigger) and tasted just like orange soda that was going flat (it tasted carbonated to me even though it wasn't). It made me a little gassy but otherwise, no issues. I get the results today so let's see what happens.
Doctor "yelled" at me last night though - i supposedly gained 16 pounds in the past four weeks ... im-freaking-possible! I definitely gained weight (plus, it was a very fat week for me), but not 16 pounds worth! Something must've been wrong with the scale there! I def don't look like i put on that much weight so i just can't believe its true. I tried weighing myself at home but of course, my scale was being stupid and i didn't have time to fix it ... figures i'll try again tonight maybe.

16lbs would be cause for alarm. Maybe it was really 6? Definitely try to get your scale fixed to see. good luck with your test results.

Got my results from my GD test today (I had it Friday morning) -- passed by a lot, again. Only one point higher than my # with pregnancy #1 this time. I also found out I'm not anemic. Yay. (I didn't think I was.)
They took my blood about 5 minutes before a whole hour was up. Not sure if that's why the 1-point difference lol. Anyway, that's a relief.
We leave for the beach on Saturday for a week. I'm super excited!! Also going to see Train on Friday and am really looking forward to the concert! Hope the weather is decent!

I agree time seems to be flying..... The one good thing about failing the glucose test is I had started eating poorly and alot once my nausea went away after 20 weeks, so at least it will force me to eat right.... although $100 for 1 month of glucose testing materials was not cool, or the constant needles for someone who's scared of them.

I had the same thing and ended up changing meters and test strips to Target's brand, Up and Up. Meter was like $9 and testing supplies are now only like $40 per month, instead of $120 which is what Bayer Contour was for me. Just a suggestion to try and save you a little money

Wow, I'm impressed. When are you due? I'm due 10/13 and I am way behind, I still have to move all the office furniture out of the room to start turning it into a nursery...haha, I guess I better get started

I'm due the same day as you and I can't get DH to move the rooms around for ANYTHING! I think he just figures since the baby will be in our room for a while (at least 3 months, probably 6), why bother. But mamma wants to nest!!! Just because this is #2 doesn't mean I don't want to get prepped!

did my 1 hour glucose test today at 26 weeks..it really wasnt that badnot i just hope i passed....my doctor is now gonna have me start coming in every 2 weeks already, is any one going every two weeks this soon...i figured i would start that at 30 weeks.

i went at 24wks, go at 28 then every 2. Id think u would have 4 between this visit and the next but, all drs are different. Its only one extra appt.

youll be able to tell by your weight at the next visit, try not to worry
did u drink the whole glucose bottle? I have a bottle that sounds like the same size but i only have to drink 1/2

yeah, i'm not really worried about the weight thing - no way it can be accurate. I still fit into my old clothes (pants included!) ... well, except for the belly of course
yeah, they told me to drink the whole bottle o' glucose drink. lucky you if you only need to drink half! good luck on your test!

How's everyone doing?
I'm doing alright - 29 weeks (+3 days) and still feeling pretty good. I have the worst case of "senioritis" though - i can't focus on work for more than 5 minutes at a time I can't wait till my maternity leave begins
Oh, and my mom officially booked my shower. We're going to do it at Ayhan's Shish Kabob in Plainview. I'm so happy we finally booked a place - i was not expecting it to be so difficult to find something delicious & affordable!

Just found out today that I passed my GD test! I can't believe we're all in or near our 3rd trimesters. It's gone by so fast! I feel like the next couple of months are going to fly by. My shower is in a couple weeks, so I'm looking forward to that. I think that once we have most of what we need for the baby in the house it's going to feel very real. Starting to get a little nervous, but excited too!

I had my surprise shower on sunday. I thought it was going to be in september. It was really great. My mom hosted it at Mama Lombardi's. Great place and food! It was so wonderful to spend see everyone. I wish it were longer to mingle.
