One day fever with no real other symptoms - concerning?

Sunday DD had a fever pretty much all day ranging from 100.8 to 101.6 at bedtime. She was a little crankier than usual, a little less energetic and refused to nap (very unlike her) but, otherwise was completely normal - and, we have days like this - many days where she is even crankier and not sick. I figured if she woke up with fever today and no other symptoms I would take her to the ped. Well, she slept through the night last night totally fine and woke up and has had no fever since. She still seems SLIGHTLY not herself but, has days like this when she is not sick. No real signs of sickness. She wouldn't nap again today but, that was it. Otherwise pretty much normal. I'm a little concerned about this whole thing though - a one day fever with no cold or gastro symptoms? Should i call the ped even though she seems fine now? TIA!

DS had this for a few day (much higher fever though), no other symptoms. He had a fever virus.

My DS who is almost 4 had this last week.

He came home from daycare with a temp of about 100.6, said he was going to throw up (he never did).

He was definitely not himself. We put him on the couch to watch cartoons for the rest of the night. As the night wore on, he started looking better to me. By the time he went to bed, he was fine.

Woke up the next day and the temp was gone, he was back to himself. No explanation... very strange, but it came and went.
