opening a daycare/preschool

I'm considering doing this and in the information gathering phase.

Can anyone share with me, their experiences of opening a preschool/daycare? Anyone care to help me start the process of developing a plan?

I'll be doing this in Brooklyn, not Long Island, but figured it can't hurt to ask for any insight here :)

I have a NYS registerd family daycare in my home....I contacted the Child Care Council of Suffolk to get started (I am sure Brooklyn would have something similar)

Here is a link to the NYS Office of Children and Family Services...They can give you some information on how you can get started...
