out of crib and into bed?! Am i nuts?

Am i crazy?? I am 4 months pregnant, due the end of September and i have a daughter that will be 2 the end of May. Obvioulsy i need the crib, and my thoughts were to take her out a few months before the baby is born to give her time to get used to staying through the night. I figured she would be BIG GIRL status and would understand baby better once here.

I just ordered her a bed yesterday. Once it deliveres (4-7 days), i only have 7 days to return it. So.....i kind of feel like i need to put it in her room right away so im sure that i love it and it matches etc. BUT...am i nuts???

How do i know she is ready??? Are they ever?? She is a GREAT sleeper, always has been, and im scared it will ruin her schedule.

I put my dd in a big girl bed at 21 months, it went VERY smoothly

I know people who have put their kids in a bed as early as 1.5 (because the kid was climbing out anyway). So I think it really depends on your child. For me I prefered to leave them in the crib as long as possible. My son is 3.5 and is still in a crib. He can easily climb out but thankfully he won't unless I tell him he can. I plan on getting him a full size bed when we move.

My 2 year old is in a crib, I wouldnt even think about taking him out because I know there would be now way he would stay in a bed. Though I doubt I will be able to keep him once the other guy gets a bed.
