As a vegetarian I can't tell you how annoying it is to tell people I don't eat meat, and yet they serve chicken

Thanks everyone - looks like I was right!  We're going to Astoria tonight to have dinner with the in-laws and DH really wants Greek food. This thread may just help me convince him that we should order pizza instead!

actually they should have a lot of choices...the greeks are fasting too so I'm sure all the restaurants have non-meat food...yummy fried calamari and grilled octupus...
where in astoria are u going?

I think we may go to Aliada on Broadway and 30th. I looked at the menu we have - I had forgotten about spanikopita. I may just get that and a greek salad.
